Elemental Paintings

This datapack will enable the four elemental paintings that are hidden within the games files. After installing this datapack the paintings will be placable using the vanilla painting in any space that can support a 4x4 painting.

Trivia

The four elemental paintings enabled by this datapack were originally included in 2012 as part of the v0.5.0 alpha for Minecraft Pocket Edition. These paintings were intended to be used as part of a new promotional map for Minecon that was never released to the public. Nearly ten years later Mojang included the unused paintings in Java Edition 22w16a however they remain inaccessible without 3rd party addons such as this datapack.

Why Use This Pack?

While this is not the first project to make these paintings available for Java Edition, it is the first to do so without infringing on Mojang's copyright by redistributing their textures without permission. This datapack was also compressed to ensure fast download times, low storage usage, and faster load times.
