This is the resource pack for the Dragon seeker data pack. You need both.
Data pack (the part that detects dragons): [ DATA PACK ]
Without the data pack, this pack only changes how the Heart of the Sea looks. It will not detect dragons.
Dragon seeker - Resource Pack adds all the visuals for the Dragon Eye data pack, an addon for Ice and Fire that senses fully grown (Stage 5) dragons.
What it adds
Animated pixel-art eye. The Heart of the Sea turns into a golden orb with a dragon eye that breathes and blinks.
Three dragon colours. Fire (orange), Ice (blue) and Lightning (purple). The eye gets brighter, opens wider and sparkles as you get closer to a dragon.
Hand mode textures. Calm breathing, then awake, then wider, then fully open.
Necklace pendant on your screen. A pendant on a chain swings in from the top right like a hypnotist's watch, settles, shows 12 lights that fill up as you approach, and is pulled back up by its chain when the dragon is gone. This uses a custom font, so it works without any mod.
Names. Every Heart of the Sea is renamed to "Dragon Eye" in English (US, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand).
All pixel art is original and drawn at 16x16 for the item and 20x20 for the pendant.

Things to know
The pendant position on screen was tuned for GUI Scale 3. At other GUI scales it can look bigger, smaller or sit in a different place.
This pack replaces the Heart of the Sea model and name for all Heart of the Sea items, not only the Dragon Eye. If another resource pack also changes it, put this one above.
The names are only written for English language variants. Other languages keep the vanilla name.
Tested on Minecraft 1.20.1 only.
AI disclosure
This project was built with the help of AI (Claude by Anthropic). The pixel-art textures and the pack files were generated with AI assistance, while the idea, design decisions and in-game testing were done by me.
