Bright It Up is a lightweight resource pack that removes Minecraft’s dull shading from both blocks and entities, making the whole world look brighter, more vibrant, and more alive. No mods, no hassle: just install and play.
What does it do?
In vanilla Minecraft, every face of a block or model is darkened based on its orientation, which creates those dim corners and a somewhat flat look. Bright It Up gets rid of that across the entire world:
- No block shading: faces show their true color, with no dark patches or artificial gradients.
- No entity shading: mobs, players, chests, boats, minecarts, and items look clean and luminous too.
- More vivid colors: clearer, crisper textures that are easier on the eyes. A more consistent world: since shading is removed from both blocks and entities, everything is equally bright, with no odd contrast between the environment and what’s in it.
