This resource pack works for the latest minecraft versions and below down to version 1.8.9.
This resource pack requires Optifine OR Fabric with the mods listed in the spoiler below to work.
Note: using this resource pack with Fabric can cause some very minor bugs in the cow models.
⚠️
VERY IMPORTANT: See the required mod configs in the screenshots here:Click here

Mods needed to make the Better Wolves resource pack work with Fabric/Sodium are listed below. All mods go in the minecraft mods folder.
⚠️
Make sure all mods match your version of Fabric.
Fabric (required):
https://fabricmc.net/use/installer/
Required mods:
Custom Entity Models (CEM)
Optional (not required but highly recommended for more FPS):
The textures freak out if you dont use the right forge version that matches optifines forge version. For those also having texture issues.
Example:
Minecraft 1.19.2
You download the OptiFine HD U I1 which states it is for Forge 43.1.52
So you would want to download Forge version 43.1.52
Note any mods you have installed might not work

Love it! <3 Can you update 1.19 forge version, pleace?
I don't understand how to do it can someone please help me
Hi! The pack works fine but I also use mizunos and when i use them both half of the textures of the cows and pigs mess up. Is there a way to still use mizunos while using the better pigs and cows?
In reply to clownelry:
Use a program that can open zip files (like WinRAR or 7Zip) and delete all the files that have to do with cows in mizuno's pack. Worked with the chickens for me.
I honestly love all of these packs, the variety makes me happy. I hope you update these for 1.17!
these look great. The mooshrooms are messed up when I use it though. I have it at the very top of the resource list. The cows look as expected. I'm using Lithos3D https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/texture-packs/lithos-core-32x-1-6-1-11-complete
This is the same thing that happens with your chickens. Dogs, Pigs, Sheep all work as expected. All four animal types have several varieties of skin in Lithos3D.
Since it works with 3 of the 5, would you please take a look and see if you can fix it? There are other similar posts under your chickens models.
The bottom of the post says "MAKE SURE YOU ENABLE CUSTOM ENTITY MODELS AND RANDOM ENTITIES IN THE SETTINGS OR ELSE IT WON'T WORK" - I am using the latest preview Optifine and I cannot find anything even similarly labeled.
In any case, thank you
In reply to Forge_User_08334197:
That's weird. Here are some things you can try:
1. You probably already have custom entity models and random random entities enabled if the other packs work just fine but here is the path to these settings so you can check if they are actually enabled:
Options > Video settings > Quality > Second to last option on the left row. Third option on the right row.
2. If the option isn't there it's probably because the preview version of Optifine has some bugs. If that's the case you can try this:
go to the minecraft resource pack folder and open Lithos3D. Locate to assets > minecraft > Optifine > mob > cow and delete all .png files in that folder.
Now locate to assets > minecraft > textures > entity > cow and delete all .png files in that folder aswell.
Refresh all resource packs by pressing ctrl + t while in singleplayer and see if that fixes it.
Here's what you can try to fix the chickens:
Open Lithos3D and Locate to assets > minecraft > Optifine > random > entity and delete the chicken.properties and all .png files inside. Ignore the piglin folder.
I hope this isn't too confusing. Let me know if it worked.

First, thanks for taking your time.
Options > Video Settings > Quality Custom entity models and Random are enabled.
I followed all your instructions and the mooshroom cows are still messed up. There isn't a reference to cow anywhere in the Lithos3D resource pack now that I've removed the files/folders you describe and it still happens. Regular cows are fine.
Your instructions for the chicken do work. I'm not sure I've seen all varieties yet and some of them used to work anyway but I think it works.
Why do the sheep, wolves, dogs and pigs work but not the cows and chickens? What isn't getting priority when these 2 resource packs are on the very top of the list?
Again, thank you. I would really prefer not to edit every update of another resource pack but your artwork is worth the time.

Thank you,
One more thing you could try is to go to assets > minecraft > Optifine > CEM and check if there are a cow.jem and chicken.jem file in there. If they're in there delete them and see if that fixes it. I don't know if you checked that folder already but just to be sure. I can't try it myself right now so I hope this works.
In reply to mrblueyeti:
There isn't a cow.jem or a chicken.jem file present.
In reply to mrblueyeti:
First of all, I love all of the texture packs you've made. But I am experiencing some trouble trying to fix the re-modelled mooshroom. I've tried deleting all the things you've recommended, but that just makes the mooshroom appear the same as the vanilla version. I've checked and found a cow.jem in the Optifine folder. The cow textures are working, its just the mooshrooms.
In reply to goldestor:
I'll look into the files and see what I can do to fix it later today. If I manage to fix it I'll PM you both a download, if not I'll reply here.
