Arachnia

Some "minimal" changes to the default textures, while preserving the vanilla feel.
This one also didn't change much, but you can still kind of feel it.

I gave the flower pot 15 different colors ( all wool colors exept for white, because it was too bright )

I personally love the way this turned out in the end. The wavy look really surprised me, but that's why I like it so much.

At first i wanted to have 3 variants: orange, yellow and green. But there is already so much green foliage in minecraft, so I scrapped that one.

The middle one is the most frequent one then comes the right one, which is about one and a half block tall. And lastly comes the left one, wich is the least frequent one.
I also mached the hay bale's colors to the wheat.

As you've probably seen in the thumbail, I wanted to give all ores their own design, but I still wanted one of them to be the default one, as I also like those. Thats why I didn't do iron ore. As for why I didn't touch lapis? That one was already unique.

Fun fact, this is actually the very first texture I made for this pack.

Also, I redid the spruce leaves, as they looked kinda weird.

I also "fixed" the stairs: the lower step has an edge on the side. The upside down stairs now have the sandstone top texture on top, instead of the bottom texture.
Sandstone slabs work the same way as cut sandstone slabs.

There are a lot of people who use flower pots on top of their chimneys, so this one is for you!

I really like this one too. When i first started doing these, my idea was to make my own pixel art styled textures, but it just took soo looong. Eventually I thought: 'lets just turn them into terracotta bricks.' It was a wise decision, but the pixel art-

Description

THIS ONLY WORKS WITH OPTIFINE!!!

Well it does work without OptiFine, but you will get weird things, like disconnected sugarcane. ( see images )

Arachnia is a texture pack, that aims to change "some" of the default textures, while keeping the same feel as vanilla.

I was really inspired by the BwW Texturepack, made by fWhip.

Here's a tour of what I've done:

First of all, the wood: I randomized all the wood planks to make it look more natural and less repetitive, I made all the acacia stuff more saturated and less orange, making it quite pleasant to work with.

I also made all of the birch stuff more white, because it was way too yellow. And the dark oak stuff has been made a little bit saturated, to make it a bit less like chocolate.

I randomized all leaves and because I wanted them to be more bushy, while still keeping the blocky feel intact, I put a smaller block inside them, like a slimeblock or a honeyblock has.

The oak and dark oak leaves have a small chance to appear with fruit inside of them.

Actually, it's not a good idea to have an enormous wall of text here, so I'll just sum it all up.

This is everything I did:

Acacia boat (re-colored)
Birch boat (re-colored)
Bookshelf (randomized)
Bricks (randomized)
Bricks slabs (randomized)
Bricks stairs (randomized)
Bricks walls (randomized)
Cartography table (re-colored)

Shield banners (decompressed)
Signs (barkless, re-colored)
Wheat (taller, randomized)
Wood slabs (vertical planks, randomized)

For a more in-depth overview, look at the images.

Please don't use my textures for your own pack. (unless you're never gonna publish it of course)

Also don't upload this pack onto other pages or sites.

Posting links to this page is allowed. (will get me more popular lol)

You may, of course, use any of the ideas in my texture pack, as long as you don't steal any of my textures.

I believe that was everything- no wait, I still need to tell you about the stuff I'll add once OptiFine 1.16 comes out!

In 1.16 I will:

Randomize nether wood types
Edit nether wood signs (remove bark)
Probably fix red and normal sandstone walls, if necessary (because of new blockstates)
Probably fix all randomized walls, if necessary (also because of those blockstates)
Rename zombiefied piglins to zombie piglins (because zombie villagers aren't called zombiefied villagers either)
Rename respawn anchor to soul anchor (got that from a youtube comment. I don't remember who said it unfortunately)

Give the crafting table a unique bottom texture.

Give nether wart 4 stages. ( inspired by Better Nether Wart Crops )

Fix sugar cane.

Waiting for OptiFine will take really long, so I will probably add the stuff that doesn't need OptiFine soon.

If you don't like my glazed terracotta makeover, I will make a texture pack which fixes the glazed terracotta item oriëntation, that you can use on top of this pack.

Bye, have fun!
