Mita's Shader
Vanilla Minecraft, with the atmosphere it was missing. Light on your GPU.
Version 0.1v: first public release.

About
Mita's Shader is a vanilla-style shader pack for Minecraft Java Edition (Iris). It keeps the blocky, pixelated, readable look of the game and adds what vanilla lacks: living skies, coloured light, believable water, soft shadows and weather with character.
It is built around one rule: every effect has to be cheap. Effects reuse work from other passes and switch themselves off when they cannot be seen, so the pack stays fast while still covering the basics most "light" packs leave out.
Design goals
- Optimised first. Aurora only appears in snowy biomes at night, caustics only on submerged blocks, light shafts only where there is sun. Three profiles (LOW / MEDIUM / HIGH) scale the pack from modest PCs upward.
- Vanilla-friendly. Pixel clouds, pixel stars, block-aligned lighting, textures left untouched. It enhances the game, it does not repaint it.
- Complete. Clouds, reflections, shadows, coloured lights, wind in the foliage and light shafts are included in every profile, not locked behind a heavy preset.
Performance
| Profile | Average FPS |
|---|---|
| LOW (performance) | 386 |
| MEDIUM (balanced) | 323 |
| HIGH (quality) | 297 |
Test system: Ryzen 7 7700, RTX 3070, 32 GB RAM, Windows 11. Minecraft 26.2, Iris 1.11.4, Sodium 0.9.2, 1920x1080 fullscreen. No other performance or optimisation mods were installed. Results vary with hardware, render distance and scene.
