Description
A realistic, optimized shaderpack for Minecraft Java 1.16.5 – 26.x.
Lueur Shaders makes Minecraft look realistic while keeping performance under control, with four quality profiles from Low to Ultra.
Lighting
Physically based deferred lighting with a warm sun and cool, contrasted shadows
Soft shadows, with colored light through stained glass
Ambient occlusion (SSAO), subsurface scattering on leaves, and light bouncing off the ground
Realistic torches: bright core, warm falloff, subtle flame flicker
Held light sources light up your surroundings; long-range dynamic lights for thrown torches and flaming arrows
Works with LambDynamicLights and OptiFine Dynamic Lights
Sky and atmosphere
Procedural sky with a crisp sun disk, a subtle halo, and soft sunrises and sunsets
Volumetric 3D clouds with flat bases, puffy tops and glowing edges
Volumetric sunbeams and crepuscular rays through clouds, trees and mountains
Morning ground mist, rain haze, and fog only at the edge of the render distance
Water
- No vanilla texture: fully procedural, transparent water
- water that gets cloudier after rain
- Waves react to the weather (calm, rain, thunderstorm with whitecaps)
- Raindrop ripples
- Refraction, screen-space reflections (with clouds), caustics, shore foam
- Underwater light shafts
Materials
Generated normal maps on every block, no resource pack needed
LabPBR resource pack support
Specular highlights on polished blocks and metals
Wet surfaces and reflective puddles in the rain
Waving leaves and plants
Post-processing
Temporal anti-aliasing, bloom, auto exposure, ACES filmic tonemapping, vignette
Mod compatibility
- Distant Horizons (with Iris): distant terrain and water are lit and reflected, and fog moves to the edge of the LOD render distance
- Bobby: fog follows your render distance automatically
