**LiteCraft Shaders v1.2** is a small Minecraft Java shader pack (about 1115 KB) made for **Iris on Fabric**, with a clear focus on weak PCs. The README says it was tuned for cards like a **GT 730 / 2 GB**. It is a forward-shaded pack: one shadow pass and one post-process pass, not a heavy deferred pipeline like Complementary or SEUS.

The zip name is `v1.0`, but the files inside do not all agree on the version. `README.txt` calls it **v2.0**, `shaders.properties` still says **v1.6**, and the changelog covers **v1.3 through v2.0**. In practice this archive is the current LiteCraft build, not a bare first draft.

## What it does

It replaces vanilla lighting with a lighter custom look:

- Real-time sun and moon shadows, with optional 4-tap soft shadows
- A **shadow floor**, so daytime shade is not pitch black
- Warm sunrise/sunset tints and cooler moonlight
- Sky-colored ambient light instead of gray fill light
- Custom sun and moon discs, including real moon phases
- Lit vanilla clouds with shaded undersides (best with Fancy clouds)
- Distance fog that is **not tied to render distance**, so lowering chunks for FPS does not flood the sky with fog
- Waving grass, leaves, crops, and vines
- Water waves plus a cheap sun glint
- Custom raindrops with a slight glass shine, blue-white color, and wind drift
- Optional volumetric sunbeams (god rays), also used underwater with a simple caustic shimmer
- Tiny sparkles on snow in direct sun
- Reinhard tonemap, saturation, contrast, exposure, and a light vignette
- Reads the game lightmap, so Fullbright mods and the vanilla Brightness slider still affect the image

Block IDs are mapped in `block.properties`: plants/crops, leaves, water, and snow.

## Settings and profiles

The in-game menu is grouped into Shadows, Sky/Sun/Clouds, Light Brightness, Waving & Water, Rays/Caustics/Snow, and Color Grading. English and Persian (`en_us`, `fa_ir`) language files are included.

Profiles, lightest to heaviest:

| Profile | Intent |
|---|---|
| **Potato** | No shadows, cheapest |
| **Fast** | Default for GT 730: soft shadows at 512, range 56 blocks |
| **Balanced** | Shadows 768, range 80 |
| **Pretty** | 2048 shadows, range 128, more ray steps |

## How it is built

Inside `shaders/` there are standard Iris/OptiFine programs:

- `gbuffers_terrain`, `water`, `clouds`, `skybasic`, `skytextured`, `weather`, `entities`, `textured`, `textured_lit`, `basic`
- `shadow` and `final`
- Shared code in `lib/common.glsl`, `light.glsl`, `postfx.glsl`, `wave.glsl`

Shaders are written for **GLSL 1.20**, which matches old GPUs.

## Install

Leave the zip closed and put it in:

`%appdata%\.minecraft\shaderpacks`

Then: Options → Video Settings → Shader Packs → LiteCraft-Shaders. The README recommends the **Fast** profile, Fancy clouds, Sodium, and 3–4 GB of allocated RAM. If FPS is still low: Potato profile, render distance 6–8, Fast graphics, fewer entities.

## Limits

This is not a high-end cinematic pack. There is no PBR, no screen-space reflections, no dense volumetric clouds or fog, and entity/block-entity shadows are off. Pretty mode exists, but the pack’s real purpose is a nicer vanilla look on weak hardware. The README also notes it was made for **ahmadihaha8**.
