Description
# Horror Realism Lite
A lightweight, realistic shader pack with a horror atmosphere. It looks good and stays performance-friendly, so it's built with mid-range devices in mind.
## Features
**Realism**
- Sun and moon shadows with soft edges
- Animated water with waves, sky reflections and a murky look
- Leaves and grass that sway in the wind, and more in rain
- Distance fog, ground fog and grey weather
- Ambient occlusion, bloom, lens flare and cinematic color grading
**Horror**
- **World Darkness slider:** at maximum, only your flashlight, torches and ores light the world
- **Flashlight:** adjustable brightness, range, cone angle, color and flicker, with a beam that shows in fog
- **Held torches** light up your surroundings
- **Glowing ores:** ore veins glow on their own and cast colored light around them
**Body cam and VHS**
- Lens distortion, chromatic aberration, grain, vignette, 4:3 bars, motion blur, depth of field, night vision and thermal vision
- VHS color bleed, static, speckles, scanlines, interlacing, tracking bands, noise lines and head-switching noise
- A master switch for the VHS look and one for the body-cam lens
## Settings
Everything has its own in-game menu, in English and Spanish. Built-in profiles: **LOW, MEDIUM, REALISTIC, HORROR and FOUND_FOOTAGE**.
## Performance tips
Use the **LOW** profile if you need more FPS. You can also turn off shadows, ambient occlusion, bloom or ground fog. Bloom, sharpening and ore light use mipmaps, so they need a renderer that supports them.
## Requirements
Iris or OptiFine. Designed for the Overworld, so the day/night cycle looks odd in the Nether and End.
## Credits
Inspired by the Body Camera Shader, MC VHS and flashlight-shader packs. I wrote this pack from scratch and didn't copy their code. Thanks to their authors.
