Have you ever wanted a truly hard zombie apocalypse experience in Minecraft? Try your best in a world full of zombies (with the ability to set what type of cities you want to explore) in a mildy hostile environment. (This is kind of a challenge modpack, best played with friends!)
IMPORTANT:
Because of redistribution policies I can not include OptiFine in the pack which is necessary for it to work, you must add it manually! Download OptiFine-1.18.2-HD-U-H9-pre2.jar from the official website then put it into the "mods" folder inside the modpacks' directory. (sorry for the inconvenience -.-)
Lore:
The world has been filled with weird crystal formations after a meteorite hit in early 2008. Ever since the first studies it was clear that they are really dangerous and should be avoided but it was too late, civilians have already got in contact with them resulting in their infection which seemed to spread way faster than any other known virus before. The infection killed and reanimated millions in several weeks causing the world to fall apart with you being among those rare ones who seem to be somehow immune to the crystal virus as it's called now. Late 2008, you (and your friends in case of multiplayer) managed to escape a large horde of infected and being still on the run your current mission is to set up a base with the help of the small amount of materials you managed to scavange on your way from your hometown, and survive as long as you can!
Info:
The modpack includes MrCrayfish's Gun Mod and Mo's Guns so you have plenty of (really well made) guns to defend yourself with, furniture mods to decorate your undergound base with, biome mods filling the world with beautiful biomes worth to explore, underground structures with difficult enemies, Farming mods which are not way too complex, pretty much everything to give you an immersive experience. (Full list can be found on the forge client!)
I personally recommend playing on hardcore if you choose singeplayer as it definitely makes up for an extreme experience, otherwise normal mode is hard enough. Multiplayer is best with maximum 4 players.
As visible on the pictures I included, DrDestens MCShaders with fog set to 8-10 and saturation turned down to 20 further improves the visuals!
