Due to the Primal Winter mod, the first time a new world is generated, there will be constant thunderstorms, and the gamerule doWeatherCycle is set to false. This drastically increases the difficulty since monsters spawn even during the day. To adjust this for a more relaxed gameplay experience, simply set gamerule doWeatherCycle to true and run weather clear! ;D
