Windswept tries to carefully implement what I would consider to be a truly Vanilla+ Minecraft playthrough. No crazy biomes, bosses, magic, or tech. Just a beautifully refreshing experience, a thoughtful selection of mods, and a familiar sense of... Minecraft.
You can expect many exciting new features to play with, such as:
- Vanilla biomes have been given a fresh makeover, along with a small selection of tasteful new biomes
- Wonderful new villages (and pillager outposts) that feel like they fit exactly with the base game.
- Structures and mobs have been expanded upon in the Nether, as well as new structures in the End!
- Many of the previously outvoted mobs and features, including fireflies, the illusioner, and golems!
- Block additions such as new wood types and more vanilla stone variants.
- A fancy new End island and lost eyes to find for the portal, making for a truly adventurous endgame.
- Fun new additions including but not limited to: healing campfires, additional crafting recipes and smelting options, horse carts, new crops, furniture and decor, and vanilla friendly redstone contraptions!
- New combat options brought to life with the Better Combat mod and Basic Weapons, for a touch of adventure.
- Increased difficulty for hostile mobs, so night feels like a real challenge again. Don't forget, the harsher the biome, the stronger the monsters! (Be well prepared for the Nether). A campfire or two will be helpful to keep the monsters at bay.
- The ESSENTIAL mod and dual horseback riding makes for a fun multiplayer adventure with your friends!
- Many more intricate little features to help improve performance and overall quality of gameplay, as well as REI and a highly configurable modlist in the pause menu.
lakrimosa's Windswept has been in the works for well over a year, and finally I get to share it with the world! I hope it brings you many hours of fun.
