Wilderness & Wires is a kitchen-sink tech modpack for Forge 1.20.1 that's all about building, exploring, and automating at your own pace.

What's in the pack?

On the tech side you've got Create, Applied Energistics 2, Immersive Engineering, Thermal Series, Refined Storage, Pipez, XNet, and more, plenty of tools to build whatever kind of factory or automation setup you want.

For exploration, YUNG's suite of mods completely overhauls vanilla structures and dungeons, while Biomes O' Plenty fills the world with new landscapes to discover. Alex's Mobs and Born in Chaos keep things dangerous out in the wild.

Farmer's Delight and a ton of food addons give you way more to cook and eat than vanilla ever offered.

Multiplayer ready, the pack works great on a server with friends.

Performance mods included, Embeddium, Ferrite Core, ModernFix, and others keep things running smooth even with a big mod list.

Whether you want to spend your time building a massive automated factory or just exploring the world and cooking food, there's plenty to do in Wilderness & Wires. Hope you enjoy it!

Q: Why can't I launch the modpack? I keep getting an error.
A: Open the Minecraft launcher, navigate to your modpack installation settings, and make sure your Java version is set to Java 21 — not 17. That should clear it up.

Q: Why is the modpack so laggy?
A: This modpack is fairly resource-intensive, so if you're experiencing lag, try allocating more RAM to it in your launcher settings. A good starting point is 6–8GB if your system can spare it.
