Whit’s End
Build a colony, master magic and technology, and conquer dangerous dimensions in a progression-driven multiplayer adventure.

Establish a functioning settlement, explore enormous structures, hunt powerful bosses, develop magical and industrial systems, and travel through multiple handcrafted dimensions in search of unique resources and equipment.
The pack is designed primarily for cooperative multiplayer, but it can also be played in single-player.

Adventure and Dimensions
Whit's End provides several distinct destinations rather than treating dimensions as simple mining worlds.
The Twilight Forest
Progress through enchanted forests, guarded structures, and a sequence of major bosses. Twilight Forest serves as one of the pack’s earliest major adventure paths and is integrated into broader progression.
The Aether
Explore floating islands, tame Moas, raid dungeons, defeat bosses, and recover equipment found nowhere else. Official Aether addons expand Moa equipment, dungeon-treasure recovery, and building options.
The Bumblezone
Enter a massive bee-themed dimension filled with unusual creatures, structures, resources, mechanics, and encounters centered around the Bee Queen.
The Otherside
Deeper and Darker expands the Ancient City and Warden progression into a hostile new dimension with its own biomes, enemies, structures, materials, and equipment.
Eternal Starlight
Discover a visually distinct fantasy realm with its own story progression, bosses, environments, creatures, structures, and equipment.
The Nether, End, and Overworld also contain expanded structures, encounters, and reasons to continue exploring.
Dungeons, Bosses, and Loot
Whit's End uses large structure and boss mods to create meaningful expedition targets.
When Dungeons Arise and Seven Seas place major ruins, towers, ships, fortresses, and underground complexes throughout the world. L_Ender’s Cataclysm adds difficult boss encounters, custom structures, unique enemies, and powerful equipment.
Artifacts introduces rare wearable treasures and Mimics, while Aquaculture 2 expands fishing with biome-specific catches, equipment, bait, and treasure.
Lootr gives each player personal access to generated loot containers, reducing competition over dungeon chests on multiplayer servers.
MineColonies
Players can establish, build, and manage a functioning settlement using MineColonies.
Colony access is integrated into the pack’s adventure progression rather than being immediately available at the beginning of a world. Players must first overcome an early Twilight Forest challenge and obtain the required material before crafting the primary colony-starting items.
Colonies are configured with a controlled citizen limit to reduce multiplayer performance problems while still allowing substantial settlements.
Technology
Whit's End includes several technology systems with different roles.
Modern Industrialization
Develop increasingly advanced production lines, processing chains, power systems, machines, and industrial automation.
Ender IO
Use conduits, powered machines, item and fluid handling, equipment, and compact automation systems.
Applied Energistics 2
Build scalable digital storage networks, automate crafting, manage large inventories, and eventually use Spatial IO to relocate entire physical volumes of the world.
Additional Logistics
Sophisticated Backpacks, Tom’s Simple Storage, Waystones, and related tools provide practical inventory and transportation options without replacing the primary technology progression.
Magic
Ars Nouveau provides the pack’s primary magical progression system.
Players can construct custom spells, develop magical equipment, summon helpers, perform rituals, automate resource production, and build magical infrastructure.
Magic exists alongside technology rather than replacing it. Players can specialize in either system or combine both.
Combat and Character Growth
Expanded Combat broadens weapon and equipment choices, while Cataclysm, dimension bosses, hostile structures, and scaling difficulty systems provide increasingly dangerous encounters.
Paragliders adds stamina-based gliding and exploration-driven health and stamina upgrades. Artifacts provides specialized wearable equipment with effects suited to different playstyles.
The goal is to reward preparation, equipment development, and cooperation rather than making every encounter trivial through raw statistical escalation.

Quest Progression
FTB Quests provides guidance through major systems, important mechanics, and progression milestones.
The quest book is intended to help players understand the pack without forcing every player through one rigid class or build. Colony development, dimensions, technology, magic, exploration, and combat remain interconnected but allow different players to pursue different specialties.
Quest content and balance may continue to expand as the pack develops.
Multiplayer
Whit's End is designed with cooperative servers in mind.
Different players can specialize in:
-
Colony construction and management
-
Exploration and dungeon clearing
-
Technology and automation
-
Magic and ritual systems
-
Resource production
-
Building and infrastructure
-
Boss hunting and combat
Personalized dungeon loot reduces competition, while large progression systems give groups multiple useful projects to pursue simultaneously.
A separate dedicated-server package will be provided for matching releases.
System Requirements
Whit's End is a large modpack and requires a 64-bit Java 21 installation.
Recommended starting allocation:
-
Client memory: 8 GB
-
Dedicated server memory: 8 GB
-
Storage: SSD strongly recommended
Players using high-resolution resource packs, shaders, or long view distances may require additional memory and a stronger graphics card.
Do not allocate all available system memory to Minecraft. Leave sufficient memory for the operating system and other applications.
Installation and Support
Install Whit’s End using the CurseForge application.
Client and server versions must match. Adding, removing, or independently updating mods may prevent players from connecting or may damage an existing world.
Before updating:
-
Back up the world.
