This mod pack is aim that you will be safe in the day. And have to retreat back to the camp or sleep while the night.
There's lots of danger and horror mobs that usually only spawn while night or caves. I also enhance the normal monsters so that you will need to be more careful while deciding if go out while night.
There's many structures in the map that could help you get some resource or a temperory shelter.
Added mod to generate a better overworld and nether.
The modpack includes Create to build machines to help you get industrialized to get enough resources while you confront enemy. There's also Colone mod if you want to use npc to help you get resources and defend you base.
Weapons you can use cold arms or guns(which is much more expensive)
The campfire will prevent monster spawn and gives health regenerate, so A camp/shelter with campfire is very important to be safe.
There will be some assist mods helps you live better should able to optimize the game a bit.
PS: My personal plan is build a city by the sea and use npc and create to defend my base. That I can use my guns to explore around while day.
Warning: Optifine could cause crash.
