About This Modpack

WAtimized (Forge Edition) is a Forge-based continuation of the WAtimized philosophy, adapting the original Fabric-focused pack into a fully Forge / NeoForge–compatible experience while preserving the same goals: excellent performance, strong stability, OptiFine-like features, and minimal gameplay disruption.

Like the Fabric version, WAtimized for Forge is not a heavy content modpack. Instead, it focuses on delivering a smooth, modern vanilla+ experience with carefully chosen performance optimizations, visual upgrades, and quality-of-life improvements that work well in both singleplayer and multiplayer environments.

In addition to its vanilla-first approach, the pack includes a set of quest lines designed to gently guide players through core mechanics, key mods, and progression milestones. These quests are optional, lightweight, and non-intrusive, serving as guidance rather than mandatory progression.

This version is ideal for players and servers that prefer Forge-exclusive mods, Forge-based tooling, or NeoForge ecosystems—without sacrificing FPS, load times, or vanilla compatibility.

⚠️ Work in Progress:
WAtimized (Forge Edition) is still actively being developed. Quest lines, balance tweaks, and overall polish will continue to evolve over time.

Core Design Goals

WAtimized (Forge Edition) is built around the following principles:

High performance and fast load times
Vanilla-friendly mechanics with no forced progression changes
Optional, guidance-focused quest lines
OptiFine feature parity using modern Forge-compatible alternatives
Multiplayer-safe and server-friendly
Clean visuals and configurable enhancements
Minimal mod overlap and bloat

Every included mod is evaluated for performance impact, compatibility, and long-term stability.

How This Differs From the Fabric Version

Compared to the Fabric-based WAtimized:

Uses Forge / NeoForge-native mods and APIs
Replaces Fabric-only optimizations with Forge equivalents
Leverages FTB utilities and quests for teams, chunks, essentials, and guidance
Expands building and decorative options using Macaw’s Forge-compatible mods
Maintains the same lightweight, performance-first philosophy

While the mod loader is different, the intended experience remains the same.
