in your travels you'll eventually stumble apon  portals for two dimensions known as "The Deeper Dark"

afterwards whenever you feel like you've gotten stong enough at spawn in every world you have the option to summon the WitherStorm itself, but be warned it will cause a lot of chaos and mess at spawn.

Don't worry, if your feeling still buildy or tech savvy a lot of mods include new blocks to create with and the "Create" mod includes a new way to inovate and automate the simple things minecraft brings, its honestly up to your imagination.
