Void Nomad 1.0.14

The Void Arena ends on a new opponent, the VoidShimmer Goo no longer waits for the End, the quest for The Beyond says what is there, and quest rewards with Slot Machine spins can be claimed again.

The Void Arena

• The Wither is no longer the boss: it is the seventh wave, after the six there were.
• The last fight is against your own echo: your skin, the full Void Set and the Sword of the Void. Like the Wither, it first hangs still in a blue aura and can't be hurt while its health bar fills, with lightning falling around it. When the aura closes in, it explodes and the fight starts.
• It fights like a player: it flies at you, swings twice, leaves you an opening, backs off and comes in again. At half health it turns furious and swings three times in a row. It has 240 health, and with Void Relic 1.0.12 only a Sword of the Void hurts it, four points a blow. You have 10 minutes, and killing it closes the arena.
• The echo has its own theme, written for the pack. It starts when the echo appears and stops when it dies, and it plays on the Jukebox/Note Blocks volume, so you hear it even with the music turned off.
• The arena quest no longer tells you what is inside or what it pays. Once the arena is closed, a hidden quest opens next to it: the Orbital Railgun is its reward now, to take after reading it.
• The arena itself still pays 3 Nether Stars and 8 Unobtainium Ingots.

Just Dire Things

• VoidShimmer Goo is made with the Nether instead of the End: Blazebloom Goo in the middle, Ender Pearls on the corners, Crying Obsidian above and below, Ghast Tears at the sides. Celestigem, Shadowpulse Goo and Eclipse Alloy come much earlier.

Quests

• The Beyond is empty on purpose: AllTheModium makes it with no ground and no mobs, a place to build. The quest now says so, and that you land on a floating Teleport Pad, the one that takes you back.

Fixes

• Quest rewards that give Slot Machine spins can be claimed again. Since 1.0.12, clicking them did nothing: FTB Quests had changed how rewards are claimed, and Quest Slot Machine 1.0.2 follows it. Rewards you could not claim are still waiting in your quests.
• A Creeper blowing up next to the Endersoul Fragments of a Mutant Enderman could crash the server. Void Relic 1.0.12 stops it.
• Monsters that need the dark spawn on the surface of The Other again: Wither Skeletons, Skeletons, Creepers, Spiders, Husks and the rest. AllTheModium let them spawn only in pitch black, under a sky that never gets darker than light 4, so outside you met little more than Blazes and Piglins. The pack now gives The Other the Nether's rule.
• A stick and a crafting table make the Crafting Table on a Stick again, the one that fits a Curios slot and opens with a key. In the inventory grid, where Polymorph+ gives no choice, Cyclic's Crafting Stick used to take that recipe; it is now made from a Crafting Table on a Stick and one more stick.

Updated mods

• Void Relic 1.0.12: the full Void Set protects whoever wears it, mobs too, and a blow from a Sword of the Void does four points to anyone in the full set, whoever holds the sword. /kill works on someone in the full set again.
• Void Relic 1.0.12, essence: taking an item from the Void Relic costs twice its value now, and the Void Duplicator two and a half times instead of four. The Essence Nexus stays at its full value, the cheapest way to buy, as the machine you build at the end.
• AllTheModium 4.2.0: bone meal on Ancient Grass and on nylium grows Ancient Ferns and the AllTheModium herbs, and its suspicious blocks work with Lootr, so every player brushes their own loot.
• Quest Slot Machine 1.0.2, for FTB Quests 26.1.2.9.
• Gateway of Doom 2.3.2: the Devil Eyes are called Gateway Keys now, and the Monsters and Mob Farms quests use the new name. The pack keeps its own arenas, so the new bosses and portals stay out of it.
• Architectury 20.1.17, Cable Tiers 1.0.3, Chisel, Cyclops Core 1.31.3, Friends&Foes 5.0.2, LogisticsNetworks 1.13.0, Polymorph+ 1.3.5, Sophisticated Backpacks, Sophisticated Core and Sophisticated Storage.
