With modifications to the world gen, rendering, and mobs, you will have plenty of breath-taking landscapes when choosing where to settle down.
This pack is largely focused around Minecolonies, with various addons and enhancements to develop the feeling of establishing and living in a new settlement.
Wander around your villager as the townsfolk chat about their lives, gather crops, smelt, and even butcher livestock.
