This is a curated modpack designed around three pillars: building factories, growing a colony, and just having fun together. It started as a private pack for a summer server my son Viktor and I are playing on, and it's tuned for relaxed co-op rather than hardcore progression — long sessions, big builds, and plenty of room to wander off and do your own thing.
Tech and Automation
The heart of the pack is large-scale automation. With Create, you'll build kinetic contraptions powered by water wheels, windmills, and steam engines — think conveyor belts moving cobblestone into crushing wheels, automated tree farms, and trains hauling resources across the map. Mekanism layers in industrial-grade processing: ore quintupling, digital miners, fusion reactors, and jetpacks for getting around in style. Applied Energistics 2 gives you a digital storage network so you stop losing things in 40 chests, and Pipez and Thermal mods fill in the gaps for fluid and item logistics. Together these mods turn the game from "mine and craft" into "design a system and watch it run."
MineColonies
Alongside the factories, you build a living town. MineColonies lets you recruit villagers as builders, farmers, miners, smelters, guards, and dozens of other professions, each working out of their own upgradeable building. You design the town layout, level up your citizens, defend against raids, and gradually turn an empty field into a bustling medieval (or modern, or fantasy — your choice of style pack) settlement. It pairs surprisingly well with tech mods: your colony produces the food and basic resources, while your factories handle the high-end gear.
