Welcome to the Alpha version of the next update 0.19.2. This update contains a lot of mod updates including several reworks. The next preview should have a couple of new mods, with that said, we did trim some mods off to make work for new ones and to ensure the best and most fun mods can be added. Several file structures have been changed, removed, and modified, so please take caution with updating. Backup saves, and this update might work best on a fresh save if there are backport issues.
Please report any Alpha bugs; hopefully, this next update should be released this weekend.

Removed Mods: Arcanum - Was orginally a supporter suggestion, but after time and testing it, it vastly overpowers all other mods, and nerfing it defeats the goal of the mod, with a large array of weapons, spells, and summons, you can still easily go toe to toe with any boss. AprilFools - Will add back later as an thematic update. Bone Torch- Bone themed items are being added to Shadow Realms, this mod only adds two torches. ProbeJS - Unneeded DEV tool.

- The visual component of Items, effects and particles has been reworked. -Models and textures of almost all weapons have been reworked. Added 2D icons in the inventory for all 3D weapons.
- Weapons and armor received a dynamic description.
- The staffs and pistols have been reworked, in addition to the updated visuals, they also received small animations. Also, now the staffs shoot when pressed, and not when releasing the pressed right mouse button.
- The Staff of Magic Arrows now fires properly without Spiritual Dust in the inventory, and Spiritual Dust now increases the power of the projectiles. The projectiles now pierce through enemies.
- Pumpkin Staff no longer requires pumpkin seeds to fire. When hitting an enemy, it now creates a special type of explosion that deals damage to everyone around the target. The staff is now buffed by Lord Pumpkinhead's Hat instead of a full set of Nightmare Armor. When wearing Lord Pumpkinhead's Hat, the staff's cooldown is reduced and the explosion's power is increased.
- The Pumpkin Pistol also now fires on click and has a firing animation. Now, instead of a normal explosion on impact, it creates an infernal explosion that deals damage to everything around the target and sets them on fire with infernal fire. When wearing Lord Pumpkinhead's Hat, it reduces the cooldown, increases the explosion on impact, and increases the duration of the ignite.

Now some mini-bosses and bosses have received protection from abuse by the boat, they still sit in it and remain in it if you don’t touch the mob (the Nightmare Stalker behind the bar counter at home will still sit in the boat if you don’t hit him) . If you decide to start the battle in this way, you will immediately be punished for it.
- Missionary. Improved optimization when teleporting. Now the missionary is able to summon hordes of undead even when he sees you at a distance, and not just after teleportation, but this method of summoning has a longer cooldown. - Nightmare Stalker. Now it blinks sometimes (very important). No longer deals increased damage when attacking from invisibility (very often in the early stages of the game this led to instant death of the player). Got new abilities and stages of adaptation to the player. Now, depending on the number of days lived, the stalker receives the following skills: Starting from the third day, attacks on a stalker from the water while you are not under the effect of the gaze of terror will reduce your oxygen supply. - Lifestealer. It was partially redesigned, both in terms of visuals and mechanics. No longer heals or inflicts debuffs if the player blocks a Lifestealer's attack, also slowing down slightly, but now breaks shields much faster. Can now walk on water creating dark ice. The duration of the Stranglehold effect has been reduced and now player cannot jump while under the effect. Armor reduced from 16 to 15. Attack radius reduced by 0.1. Dark Surge now works differently, instead of instantly triggering and dealing average damage, the Lifestealer begins to cover itself with its wings, receiving a high resistance at this moment, charging a dark surge for the next ~2 seconds. During this time, you can manage to run out of the splash radius. If you do fall within the splash radius, you will receive large draining damage and receive the lifestealing effect, the Lifestealer himself will restore 10 health units to himself, after which the dark surge will go into cooldown. Splash damage can be avoided using the Wither Resistance effect. The Lifestealer is still an extremely dangerous enemy, but the player now has more options to counter him and his abilities. - Baby Spider. The new mob is in many ways similar to the spider, but has less health and greater movement speed. Appears preferentially in caves in small groups. At a high difficulty level, it also inflicts poisoning with its attacks. Attacks corpse flies and maggots. -Mother Spider. A new mini boss, added for a subscription to Patreon by Petasi. - Spider Mandible. You can hit a mob with this item, poisoning it and infecting it with a living cocoon, after which the item will disappear. From the killed infected person, a friendly Baby Spider appears, which will attack other monsters, and can be tamed with maggots. The mandible is also used to create the Living Cocoon potion, which has a similar effect to the Mandible attack, as well as a new special sword “Spider Bite”.
- Spider Bite. A new unique sword whose attacks inflict poisoning and the Living Cocoon effect. When killed, a friendly Baby Spider may appear from an infected one (the chance and number of spiders depends on the maximum health of the infected mob), and due to the “Spider Bite” in the inventory, any Baby Spider you summon will be automatically tamed by you, starting to follow you and attacking the one you attack. Spiders cannot be given other commands, and as battle pets they are quite weak and take more in numbers, so do not try to take care of every spider in your spider army.
- Added new web blocks.
- Added Dark Metal Nugget, which is a smelted version of the Piece of Dark Metal, and now replaces it in many crafts.
- Chaos Component. Made by brewing seed of chaos in bottle of water using a Brewing Stand. Used to create elixirs.
- Elixir of Wither Resistance. Made by brewing Nightmare Claw in Chaos Component using a Brewing Stand. A new elixir that can provide protection from the Withering effect, as well as from the terrifying presence of a stalker and the dark surge of a lifestealer.
- Elixir of Insect Protection. Made by brewing Bloody Gadfly Eye in Chaos Component using a Brewing Stand. Gives you the “Protection from Insects” effect, under which any arthropod that hits you will receive 6 units of retaliatory damage, and this effect will also protect you from the appearance of flies and midges under the influence of Rotten Stench.
- Dark Atrium. Crafted from a bone heart and the bones of a Lifestealer. A one-time item that, when activated, gives you the Dark Ward effect for an hour. This effect can save you from fatal damage like a totem, instantly restoring half of your health, as well as creating a dark surge similar to the lifestealer, causing great damage to all monsters around you. After triggering, you will also receive short-term resistance and the effect itself will disappear.

Goety - The Dark Arts Additions
- Animator. Allows the creation of golems/constructs without using up Animation Cores each time. Requires bounded Waystone, placed atop a filled Cursed Cage, and activates through redstone signal. Crouching will show owner, location and cost, and right-clicking on it with an empty hand, while still crouching, highlights location. Only works if location is in same dimension.
- Pine Wood Type. Uses original Windswept Blocks. Trees can be found on same areas as Windswept Trees. Logs and Woods can be turned into Steep Wood using Cursed/Grim Infusers.
- Haunted Jug. Provides Infinite Water and will occasionally fill up nearby containers, such as cauldrons, modded fluid tanks, and Petal Apothecaries from Botania, within 2 blocks from itself.
- New command that allows cooldowns on held spell or all spells for player(s) to be removed.
- Blizzard Spell. Functions similar to Arrow Rain, except shoots Ice Spikes, or Spears if cast using Frost Staff, instead.
- New Advancements
- Waystone. Stores a location by right-clicking a block with it. Can also be used to put servants in patrolling mode towards that location, or to cast a brew on it when used on a completed Witch's Cauldron Brew.
- Heretics and Mavericks. Witch-type mobs that can spawn in the dark as Witches and Warlocks. They also spawn around the new Black Assembly structures around an unowned Obsidian Monolith. Heretics will send Hell Chants at their target where after 3 chants will summon a Fire Blast Trap underneath them. They can also summon a Nether Servant on a nearby valid mob's death position. Mavericks act like Witches but apply potion effects through melee attack. They will apply Potion of Healing and Regeneration towards Raiders in a Raid, by hitting them with their Iron Swords.
- Black Assembly structures. Rare structures that spawn with one unowned Obsidian Monolith and four Heretics powering it. When powered, the Obsidian Monolith spread the Nether and occasionally spawn Nether mobs, aside from non-undead Piglins and Ghasts, and Mavericks and are invulnerable to damage.
- Infernal Tomes. Can be crafted or dropped rarely by Heretics. Can be used by players to shout their own Hell Chants, or used as an ingredient for Sabbath Rituals.
- Frog Leg brew effect. Uses Feet of Frog as a Catalyst. Allows multi jumping. Burrowing Spell. Based on Thaumcraft's Excavation Focus, allows the caster to mine blocks through a beam of magic. Can be enchanted with Potency, which increases mining level and speed, Range, Burning, which smelts mined blocks, Fortune and Silk Touch.
- Blossoming Spell. Based on certain attacks from Bosses of Mass Destruction's Void Blossom, shoots a Blossoming Ball that when landed summons Blossoming Thorns that poisons targets around it.
- Troop Spell. A variation of Call Spell that rather than teleporting a specific servant, or their type when crouching, saves and teleports a servant's type only.
- Trembling Spell. Based on Minecraft Dungeon's Wind Horn artifact. Pushes away nearby enemies and slow their movement and attack speed.
- Crafting Spell. Allows the caster to open a Crafting Table through their wand/staff Haunted Mirrors. Allows teleportation between two Mirrors provided they are positioned correctly between each other. For the X and Z, or horizontal axis, two mirrors must be placed on the same Y axis, each facing way from each other, within 32 blocks, making it seem like a tunnel or hole between walls. For a the Y, or vertical, axis, the Mirrors must be facing the same way, and share the same XZ coordinates, either 16 blocks below or above each other. Mirrors will attempt to find another mirror above itself before searching below.
- Sorcerers. A new Illager mob that appears on Illager Assaults or in Raids if a participant player has high enough Soul Energy. They use all kinds of spells available on Goety mod, with the number and types of spells they can perform are indicated by the gilded material around their robes which denotes their level. The color and material of their level follows the same pattern as Villager trading levels (Stone - Iron - Gold - Emerald - Diamond). The higher their level, the higher their max health (can be disabled through config).
- Tamed Trampler. Requires Ravaging Scroll. Converts a Pillager into a tamed Trampler that can Charge when pressing jump, before entering cooldown, when riding it.
- Grimoire of Grounding. Prevents certain Servants or Servant Types from being teleported in certain ways, such as crouch-casting their associated summoning spell or through Call/Troop Spells. Works the same as the other grimoires. Right-clicking on a Training Block (Spider Nests/Shade Gravestone) with Grimoire of Grounding will cause the block to enter Grounding mode, where trained Servants will automatically register into the Grimoire.
- Bolting Spell. A Storm spell that functions similar to Riptide Trident, except works out of water and cause shocking damage.
- Killing Spell. Deals an amount of damage equal to the target's current health, but also deals 125%% of it upon the caster. If the caster has enough health to survive, the target will take the full damage, otherwise it will deal as much damage upon both the target and the caster as possible without killing the latter. Based on Skyrim Apocalypse mod's Finger of Death spell.
- Sensing Spell. Gives the caster Tremor Sense that causes nearby mobs to glow for the caster only, provided said caster and mobs are touching the ground.
- Arrow Rain Spell. A continuous casting spell that causes ghostly arrows to fall on an area or target.
- Unholy Fabric, Robe and Hat. Unholy Robe and Hat are made using Unholy Fabrics, which are currently obtained through a ritual requiring Unholy Blood, Dark Fabrics and Forbidden Pieces. Both Robe and Hat provides complete Fire Immunity, and wearing both changes projectiles and servants to their Apostle counterpart (ie, Lavabomb spell shoots Hell Blasts, Blazing spell summons Infernos).
