Welcome Veloxians to the Age of Wonders!

The world of Minecraft has never felt more.. wondrous. Explore new dimensions, find several new structures spread throughout many dimensions. Reexperience the wonders of magic, and the mystic and the sometimes cryptic nature of it. Dragons have seen new life in the overworld, find, and tame new dragons. The once-lost frog people of the Ribbits have been discovered in various swamp-like biomes. Ribbits live in villages and will play music, which you can join in. While the magi of the world pondered, the scientists of the world discovered an alien power..the Stargates. Explore new sites, loot to your heart's content, and find that old dogs, may learn new tricks. Thank you everyone for your support, suggestions, and help. We had an influx of new members and wanted to take a moment to say thank you for giving this modpack a chance. I am amazed and appreciate it so very much. Finally, for the important stuff, this is a sizeable update, not only have there been several modpack updates(additions, improvements, and optimizations), but several mods have done so. One such mod, Mcaw's Lights and Hedges, had several improvements and changes to the way items work so you may need to read said mod patch notes for fixing visual bugs. We suggest making a backup of your world before updating.

Modpack Updates:

  • Added a new questline explaining food making using cauldrons.

  • Expanded Simply Swords questline, also reworked/spread out the rewards.
  • Fixed explorer's compass config to only blacklist irons_spellbooks:catacombs since it can be hard to find the other structures, you will need to reapply default server configs.
  • Increased FTB Quest check time to improve like spikes from checking for items too soon, but might mean it might take a second for the game to register the item in your inventory.
  • New GOETY questline - It will guide you through many different aspects of the mod.
  • New structures that generate on the moon(in a future big update, we will add more modpack exculsive structures in dimensions that are a little barren).
  • New Suggested java Arguements aimed at speeding up the modpack, if interested, see options, Modpack help for the arguements to copy.
  • Polished up Iron's Spells N' Spellbook Questline.
  • Polished up Nature's Aura, and added new quests.
  • Reduced the number of animated icons in FTB quests to reduce lag and improve performance hopefully.

Awesome Dungeon The End edition - Forge

  • New structures and dungeons to explore in the end.

Awesome Dungeon Ocean edition - Forge

  • This mod, add structure (dungeon, temple, ruin, boat) in different biome ocean of Minecraft! Dungeons have mobspawner and chests with loot.

Client Crafting

  • Clientcrafting is a client-side utility which makes crafting UI's much more responsive through eliminating the server delay.
  • Crafting no longer waits for a server reply and instead directly goes ahead, syncing up with the servers response afterwards.
  • It is only required on client side.

Dimensional Sync Fixes

  • This mod fixes two bugs that occurs when players change dimensions:
  • Player's potion effects icons disappear.
  • Player's experiences in client bar disappear.

Doggy Talents Next

  • This mod aims to create #Harmony between the dogs and the player throughout the game. Imagine playing a Piano Concerto, you as the pianist and the dogs as the orchestra. When the two sounds are being played, it creates harmony, which our ears love so much. Thus, the orchestra doesn't overwhelm but empowers the pianist. The mod is and will be designed along that principle.
  • The dogs should accompany the player well while not becoming overpowered in the context. Although when on-demand, sufficient abilities should be granted to them, they should be required to work to achieve those. And you, the responsible owner, should help them."

Chaos with Style Update Part 1

Changes

  • Minor changes to the appearance of mobs and item textures.
  • Pumpkin pistol now requires pumpkin bullets as ammo.
  • Increased attack radius of some large mobs.
  • Now the spiritual guide with its attack drains the player and strengthens its assistants.
  • Increased Corpse Fly's step height to three blocks (still avoids fences).
  • The Bloody Gadfly's step height has been increased to three blocks. Now it attacks cows and horses, after the attack it leaves them alone for a while until a corpse maggot appears that has fallen out of the animal.
  • Lord Pumpkinhead's step height has been increased to two blocks.
  • The step height of the riding Felsteed has been increased to one and a half blocks (it is capable of stepping over a fence. And the step height of the Lord's Felsteed has also been increased to two blocks, which improves their cross-country ability.
  • Mission's step height increased to one and a half blocks.
  • Increased the Nightmare Stalker's step height to two blocks. The hitbox became a little narrower to make it easier to climb through the open door. Now, when attacking a stalker in water, your oxygen level will drop to zero. Increased detection radius from 70 blocks to 80 blocks. Reduced the duration of the Gaze of Terror from stalker attacks from 15 seconds to 10 seconds.
  • Nightmare Scythe damage reduced from 10 to 9.
  • Dark Ritual Dagger damage reduced from 7 to 6. Duration of sacrifice bonuses has been more than doubled.
  • Reduced the total armor reserve from a full set of Dark Metal armor by 1 (was 25 now 24). Now, under the influence of the Rampage effect from Dark Metal Armor, you will also gradually deplete your hunger gauge.
  • The structure generation system has been reworked. Now all structures are considered full-fledged structures like in vanilla. Their generation is now more uniform and they are also now affected by the locate command.
  • The clown cart has been replaced with the Clown Caravan.

Innovations

  • Added an extensive achievement system with about 50 achievements.
  • Spiritual Dust. You can use it as ammunition for a staff of magic arrows to increase the power of the projectile. Now always drops from Bonecallers.
  • Stimulating decoction. A new type of decoction that drops from zombie clowns. When drunk, it gives a stimulation effect that combines the effect of haste and speed. It can be used to create a throwing bomb.
  • Zombie Clown can now break a stimulating brew during battle, which will increase the speed of all monsters nearby.
  • Dark Charge. Created from Dark Rods, it can be used as a weak blinding projectile similar to Dark Vortex shots.
  • Bloody Gadfly Eye. Sometimes dropped from the bloody gadfly. Can be eaten, also used in the new recipe.
  • Phantom Bomb. A throwing bomb, which after the explosion splits into two more which explode a second after.
  • Rotten soil. New block encountered at graves. When mining, in addition to soil, rotten flesh or bone may sometimes fall out, or corpse maggots may appear
  • Added rare mob hats:
  • Damned Demoman's Hat. Drops rarely from Demoman's Skeleton. Cannot be removed after equipping. You start detonating when your health is low.
  • Missionary Hat. Rarely drops from missionaries. When receiving damage from a monster, you summon an allied baby skeleton, does not work under the effect of Magic Depletion, applies Magic Depletion when triggered.
  • Spiritual Guide Sombrero. Rarely drops from spirit guide. Strengthens the summoned Baby Skeletons using the Bonecaller's Staff, but increases the cooldown.
  • Lord Pumpkinhead's Hat. Rarely dropped by Lord Pumpkinhead. Makes you immune to fire, as well as Soul Stratification. Sets those who attack you on fire with infernal fire.
  • Spirit of Chaos. A spirit that possesses other monsters, making them possessed. Possession mobs become 20% faster, deal 6 more damage, and also take 60% less damage. For killing possessed monsters you will receive additional experience. After the death of the possessed, the spirit of chaos will leave his body and will look for a new shell, avoiding the player. When two Chaos Spirits collide, an explosion is created.

Goety - The Dark Arts Fixes & Changes:

  • Redstone Cube can accept certain blocks from their owner and would start detecting any nearby blocks of the same type by glowing yellow and emitting a sound, the closer they are, the brighter/louder it gets. Can only find the exact block its right clicked on. Feature can be disabled on goety-mobs.toml.
  • Wearing Frost Robes will cause Necro Crown and Cape to change textures to be similar to Cairn Necromancer's attire. Can be disabled on goety.toml.
  • Reduced Redstone Monstrosity volume.
  • Reduced Redstone Monstrosity's Max Spit Range from 2048 to 32.
  • Nerfed Whirlwind spell ascending.
  • Properly fixed Purify Buffs/Debuffs.

Apostle Changes:

  • Apostles, unless they're the Risen or in the Nether, no longer regenerate health. On their second phase, getting shot by their arrows will heal them.
  • Changed their Fire Charge/Arrow Rain to them summoning clouds similar to Hail and Monsoon spells, that deals constant minor hellfire damage on non-allied entities below it. The clouds are bigger on their second phase.
  • Apostle's servants will teleport near them if they're far away like Obsidian Monoliths.
  • Obsidian Monoliths now make their Apostles invulnerable, and send a constant beam to highlight their position and which Apostle they're protecting. They also summon servants only if the Apostle's target is near them instead.
  • Apostles no longer summon a full armored ZPiglins.
  • Apostles hurting non-allied entities within 32 blocks from themselves if they're in water can be disabled through config.
  • ZPiglins summoned by Apostles/Obsidian Monoliths have the same lifespan as Vexes.
  • Apostles slowly regenerate 0.5 hearts of health when powered by Obsidian Monoliths.
  • When powered, Apostles move and shoot slower. They will remain slowed down for 15 seconds after no longer being powered.
  • Apostles have a shield effect on them when powered by Monoliths.
  • Apostles are better shooters, their arrows move quicker and have less of an angle.
  • Apostles have a longer shooting interval between arrows to compensate for being faster and more accurate.
  • Apostle's arrows heal 0.5 hearts when hitting a target. 2.0 Hearts if their health is halved.
  • If an Apostle is powered by Obsidian Monoliths, mobs that were targeting the Apostle will target any nearby Monoliths owned by said Apostle. When the Monolith is destroyed by said mob, or any mob targeting it, the mob will aggro on the Apostle, which could cause them to target another Monolith.
  • Destroying Monoliths will always cause the Apostle to have a 1 minute cooldown before they can summon another one. The cooldowns no longer stack.
  • Apostles will only summon one Flaming Tornado instead of two.
  • Malghast's Hell Blasts no longer hurts their Apostle master and servants.
  • Apostles will only summon one Flaming Tornado instead of two.
  • Hellfire damage is halved if target is immune to fire.

Other Changes:

  • Improved Summoning positions when players or mobs summon Servants or certain bosses.
  • Fixed Redstone Monstrosity's Spit Range being bugged for 1.19 version.
  • Fixed Redstone Monstrosity Mold not consuming the corner lava.
  • By default, servants on staying mode will load chunks around it (allows Call Focus to work even if servant is far away or in another dimension). Can be disabled through config.
  • Wearing a Necro Crown in sunlight will give Weakness to non-Liches. Necro Capes in sunlight will give Hunger II. Nameless Garbs don't provide debuffs. These can be disabled through config.
  • Improved Redstone Golem, Cube and Monstrosities' walking animation transitions. (Meaning when they stop walking, their legs don't immediately teleport to their idle positions)
  • Soul Heal spell can be enchanted with Radius. If enchanted, Soul Heal will heal nearby Servants.
  • Cyclone cast with Wind Staff deals damage.
  • Players in Lich Mode will periodically make Nameless One Idle sounds and play its death sound when killed without resurrecting at Arca or Totem of Undying-like items. Lich Mode sounds can be disabled through goety.toml.
  • Summoning a Zombified Piglin Servant has a chance of it being spawned as a baby variant.
  • Simplified Fireball, Lava Bomb and Ghastly Focuses recipes.
  • Improved Boss Bar rendering. For API nerds, IBoss interface has been removed.
  • Wind Blast and Updraft Spells can dissipate Cyclones as well.
  • Right-clicking on a Spider Nest with a Wand/Staff will make it so that they'll only spawn Spiders if a valid target is within 8 blocks from it.
  • Improve Nameless Mirror Spell with better surround positioning and sounds.
  • Improved Soul Bolt and Necro Bolt sound effects and trailing particle
  • Casting Wind Blast with a Frost Staff gives affected entities Freezing for 5 seconds, Poison/Acid Venom if cast with Wild Staff, or set them on fire with Nether Staff.
  • Cairn Necromancers now summons Strays instead of regular Skeletons.

  • Bound Iceologer Servant. Floats like Bound Evokers and shares the same summon cap as them. Does what Iceologers do (summon Ice Chunks).
  • New Spells, Banish, Magma Bomb Blazing and Flame Strike.
  • Banish Spell, the caster teleports a target towards a random location after right-clicking on them with a Wand/Staff that has the focus equipped.
  • Magma Bomb Spell, causes the caster to shoot a a big projectile that explodes and spawns several loyal Magma Cubes with limited lifespan.
  • Blazing Spell, requiring the caster to have crafted and read the Bygone Scroll, summons a loyal Blaze Servant.
  • Flame Strike. Replicates Wither Necromancer's fire pillar attacks.
  • Nether Staff. Requires the player to read the Bygone Scroll to craft. Improves Nether Spells.
  • Ghast Servants. When casting Ghastly Spell with Nether Staff, instead of summoning Mini-Ghasts, summons 1 or 2 Ghast Servants. The reason why Malghast isn't used is because of how OP it would be with its Hell-Blasts/Hellfire and high HP.

If you are updating from an older version to this one and have already placed grass topped walls or hedges, please note that they will look weird due to performance changes in the update. To resolve this issue, you'll need to perform a block update on affected hedges or grass topped walls. Here's how: Place any block above/next to the affected wall or hedge, or break and replace the affected wall or hedge, which will trigger an update for neighboring hedges/walls. Performance

  • Reduced states from around 11000 to around 4600
  • This causes lower memory usage by 40-50%
