Velocity: Modern Industrial Tech & Magic (1.21.1 NeoForge)

Velocity is a 1.21.1 NeoForge modpack built for players who want a structured, challenging experience. Using custom ZenScript and CraftTweaker integrations, the pack features a strictly gated progression system where you must master one tier of technology to unlock the next.

The Quest System

The quest book is your roadmap, offering clear goals and rewards across several different categories:

Tech Progression: The main path of the pack. You will progress through a specific order of technology: Create → Immersive Engineering → PneumaticCraft → Mekanism.
Supply Contracts: Resource-heavy quests that require you to source and deliver large quantities of materials. These provide rewards that help sustain your factory and keep your production lines moving.
Combat & Mage Gear: A dedicated quest tree focused on hunting mobs and bosses. This is the primary way to get Arcane Essence, which you’ll need to craft powerful spells and Mage gear.

Hardcore Exploration & Scaling Difficulty

Survival is tied to how far you travel from spawn. Velocity uses a distance-based difficulty system where mob stats double every 3,000 blocks. This makes the area around spawn safe for base building, while exploration into the deep frontiers requires advanced industrial armor and weaponry to survive.

Tech vs. Magic

Technology is the core focus of the pack, providing the defense and infrastructure needed to advance. Magic is used as a secondary system for utility and damage. You will use Iron’s Spells 'n' Scrolls and Occultism to deal with the increasing lethality of the world, using spells to supplement your industrial gear.
