Frostiful

Overview: A Vanilla+ combat and survival temperature mod that completely reworks the Powder Snow freezing mechanics, introducing new ways of freezing, being frozen, and warming up.

Key Features:

Freezing & Resistance: Introduces passive freezing, icicles, and new enchantments. Players can craft fur armor from Fur Tufts for Frost Resistance, or seek warmth from fires, Sun Lichen-covered rocks, and the Enervation mechanic.

Frostology & The Frostologer: Adds a new variant of Illager magic. Frostologers reside in snowy fortresses within Snowy Plains and Ice Spikes biomes, commanding an army of Chillagers armed with long-distance freezing Glacial Arrows.

Magic & Rewards: Defeating the Frostologer allows players to craft the Frost Wand. Overcoming an Ominous Frostologer Trial rewards the Cloak of Frostology, which grants the user frost powers but causes them to melt in warm areas.

New Content: Adds Ice Skates, three new Armor Trims, Packed Snow, and other blocks/items.

Configuration: Highly customizable configuration and datapack integration, allowing players to tweak difficulty or completely disable environmental freezing.

Overview: A Dune-inspired, Vanilla+ sister mod to Frostiful, focusing on heat-based temperature survival and combat in warm biomes and The Nether.

Key Features:

Heat Survival: Sun exposure in Deserts, Jungles, Savannas, and Badlands increases body temperature over time if not in the shade, leading to heatstroke effects like weakness, hunger, and mining fatigue.

Cooling Mechanics: Players can stay cool by getting wet in bodies of water or using water buckets. Consuming water bottles, potions, or the new Water Skin and Cactus Juice enables a "Sweat" mechanic for cooling.

Nether Perils: In the extreme heat of The Nether, players must carry water to drink or utilize Nether Lilies (Crimson and Warped) found in forests to harvest moisture for survival.

Sandstorms: Periodic weather events in Deserts and Badlands create thick sand fog that blocks the sun and slows down mobs. Breezes will spawn, and sand piles will accumulate in cauldrons, making sand renewable.

Standalone Visuals: If players are not a fan of the survival mechanics, the visual and audio effects of the sandstorms can be downloaded separately as a standalone, client-side mod called Immersive Storms.

Snow! Real Magic!

Overview: A tweak mod focused on enriching the behavior, accumulation, and physics of vanilla snow layers.

Key Features:

Block Interaction: Allows snow to be placed in the same block space as fences, walls, and tall grass.

Physics & Gravity: Snow layers fall like sand and will turn into ice if they touch a water source.

Accumulation & Behaviors: Snow accumulates dynamically during snowstorms and features a thinner bounding box (similar to Bedrock Edition).

Tweaks & Customization: Reduces fall damage on snow, makes snow always replaceable by other blocks, and includes an option to prevent snow from melting. All features are fully customizable via the config files (see the author's page for instructions).
