🕯️ You know this world by heart... Or do you?

You love classic Minecraft. You've spent hundreds of hours in it – you know every sound of a meowing ocelot, the rustle of grass on the plains, and the distinctive click of placing a block. It's your safe, blocky haven. And yet... somewhere in the back of your mind, you've always felt that something was missing. This colorful, idyllic world lacked real tension – that animalistic fear that grips your stomach when night falls and you know you're not alone.

This modpack is the answer to that call for thrills.

🌍 What sets this pack apart?

First and foremost – unwavering respect for Vanilla. World generation remains 99% untouched – no new biomes, no weird trees, no rearranged hills or oceans. Every corner of your favorite forest, every coastline you know, and every cave depth looks exactly as you remember from your childhood. That's just an illusion.

⚠️ The only exception to this rule are new, terrifying structures – dark traces of these entities' presence, scattered across the world. You don't know who or what built them, nor why they stand there. You only know that when you spot them in the distance, something inside you screams to turn back. The rest of the landscape remains 100% pristine – these are the only warning signs that this world no longer belongs solely to you.

🧹 Quality over quantity!

We don't add unnecessary, purely annoying mods that other big packs often have. Every element has been carefully thought out and handpicked – no mod conflicts with another, and everything runs smoothly and stably. We focus on quality, not quantity. Only what truly builds atmosphere and amplifies dread.

👻 Who lives here?

We fill this familiar, safe world with a thick, suffocating atmosphere of horror and a carefully curated selection of entities. You won't find random, underdeveloped monsters here. We've included only the best stalkers and dwellers the community has created – the ones that truly leave a mark and send chills down your spine. Forget cheap jumpscares. Here, it's all about psychological horror: a shadow caught in the corner of your eye as you head back to base, an unexpected breath right behind you while mining down, or an ominous, unnatural silence that falls over the forest when you know that something has just stopped and is staring at you from beyond the treeline.

🎮 Immersion to the max!

To further immerse you in this dark atmosphere, we've also added several mods that don't change gameplay mechanics, but solely enhance immersion – realistic footstep sounds, sound physics, a shader loader, and a mod that leaves your body with all your items on the ground after death, creating a macabre monument to your failure. On top of that, a resource pack with ominous, unsettling music that will make every night in the forest sound like a horror movie soundtrack.

🎙️ Conversations that raise the pressure...

And most importantly – natural communication with friends. Thanks to the Simple Voice Chat mod, conversations sound exactly like in real life – you can hear distance, echoes in caves, and walls muffle sound. It might seem like a small thing, but in this world, it becomes a source of the greatest tension.

Imagine this scenario:

The two of you descend into a dark cave. Your friend walks a few meters ahead – you can still hear his footsteps and quiet curses. Suddenly, he turns behind a rock. You try to keep up, but the labyrinth of corridors is confusing. You stop. You listen.

Silence.

You call out his name. No response. For a moment, all you hear is the rush of blood in your ears. And then – very far away, as if from the other end of the world – a fragment of his voice: "...where... are you...?" – but it sounds different. As if he's not alone. As if someone (or something) is standing right next to him, breathing into his microphone.

And then his voice cuts out. Nothing. Total silence. You're left alone in the darkness, with a torch that's beginning to flicker, and the awareness that something just cut him off from you. You don't know if he ran, if he died... or if now it is heading your way.

🌙 And what about the visual atmosphere?

Want a dark, gloomy Minecraft? We've got you covered! The pack includes the built-in Spooklementary shader (available from version 1.1.0), which makes the world look terrifying – nights are so dark that without a torch you can barely see your own hands, and shadows become the perfect hiding place for unknown entities.

If total darkness isn't quite your thing, we've thought of that too! We've included Complementary Unbound and Complementary Reimagined – brighter, yet still incredibly atmospheric and visually stunning. Future versions may include more shaders (depending on the author).

⚠️ Important! Shaders are disabled by default, so weaker computers can run the pack without issues. If you have a better rig, we highly recommend – in fact, we encourage – enabling one of them. We most recommend Spooklementary, which transforms Minecraft into a true horror experience, where darkness has its own malevolent face.

🌲 Your world will never be the same...

Your favorite birch forest? Now it's a place where you're afraid to look up. Your safe little clearing? Now a place where tracks in the grass don't belong to any animal you know. And those new structures in the terrain? Treat them like black marks on the map – perhaps they mark hideouts, perhaps sacrificial altars, or perhaps something that has already set its sights on you.

This is a pack for veterans who want to rediscover the thrill and childhood unease. Your iron armor, diamond swords, and even powerful netherite tools – here they offer no sense of safety. The only weapons left to you are vigilance, hearing, and the ability to flee at a moment's notice.
