THE "I JUST PUT STUFF TOGETHER" LICENSE AGREEMENT
Version 1.0 - For Use With This Modpack
PREAMBLE (The "Please Read This" Part)
Welcome, intrepid modpack downloader! Before you embark on your heavily-modded journey, please understand the following very important legal-ish things:
ARTICLE I: WHO MADE WHAT
Section 1.1 - The Mods Themselves
All individual mods included in this modpack are the intellectual property of their respective creators, who are far more talented than the modpack assembler (that's me). Each mod retains its original license as designated by its creator. I claim exactly zero (0) rights to any of the actual mods. That's their work.
Section 1.2 - The Modpack Assembly
I just picked some neat mods and made sure they didn't explode when placed near each other. That's it. That's literally it. Think of me as a very enthusiastic librarian who organized some books, not the author of said books.
ARTICLE II: CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE
All credit, praise, accolades, awards, and declarations of appreciation should be directed to the individual mod creators. They did the hard work. I just made a list and clicked some buttons.
If you enjoy a particular mod, please visit that mod's page and shower the creator with the adoration they deserve.
ARTICLE III: THE COMPLAINT DEPARTMENT
Section 3.1 - Where to Direct Your Grievances
For any complaints, concerns, or strongly-worded letters about:
- Individual mod functionality -> Contact that mod's creator
- The modpack breaking your game -> Yell into the abyss
- Existential dread -> Also the abyss
- The abyss staring back -> That's between you and the abyss
Section 3.2 - The Abyss
The abyss is located wherever you feel most comfortable screaming into a void. A dark closet works. So does the Grand Canyon. We're not picky.
ARTICLE IV: LIMITATION OF LIABILITY (The Scary But Necessary Part)
Section 4.1 - Technology Gone Rogue
In the unlikely event that:
- Your computer gains sentience
- Said sentient computer develops a vendetta against Taco Bell franchises
- A robot uprising specifically targets chalupa infrastructure
- Any AI apocalypse scenario involving Mexican fast food occurs
We (the modpack assembler) accept absolutely no responsibility. Zero. Zilch. Nada.
Section 4.2 - Other Catastrophes
We are also not liable for:
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Excessive mining sessions
- Loss of track of time
- Sudden urges to build elaborate redstone contraptions
- Your crops dying because you were too busy playing
- Spontaneous combustion (unrelated to the mods, probably)
ARTICLE V: WHAT YOU'RE ACTUALLY AGREEING TO
By downloading and using this modpack, you acknowledge that:
- You understand this is just a collection of other people's mods
- All mods retain their original licenses
- The modpack assembler (me) is just a humble curator
- Complaints should be directed to the appropriate party (or the abyss)
- No Taco Bells were harmed in the making of this modpack
- You promise not to sue anyone if your computer achieves consciousness
- You will have fun (this is mandatory)
ARTICLE VI: MODIFICATIONS AND REDISTRIBUTION
Feel free to modify this modpack for personal use! Want to share it? Cool! Just remember:
- Respect each individual mod's license
- Don't claim you made the mods (because you didn't, and neither did I)
- Give credit where it's due
- Maybe mention where you got the modpack from (wink wink)
ARTICLE VII: WARRANTY (Or Lack Thereof)
This modpack is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Actually working
- Not causing chunk corruption
- Maintaining your FPS above potato-level
- Preventing your friends from judging your mod choices
CONCLUSION
Thank you for reading this license agreement! Most people don't! You're already better than 90% of the internet!
Now go forth and enjoy these magnificent mods that other talented people created and I merely assembled like a digital charcuterie board.
Happy crafting, mining, and/or whatever it is you do in heavily modded Minecraft!
This license agreement was written with love, alcohol, and a healthy respect for the actual mod creators who do the real work.
If you're still reading: hi! Hope you have a great day! CurseForge approve this already!
