There are some config changes added and one of theme is that you can't play until the mystcraft profiling is done this is to improve Fps and lag reduction. Also If you wanted to add IC2 to this pack you have to allow AE2 to integrate with it because in this pack it can't this is also done for optimization of the pack.

The crops will not do a chunkload every time they grow so this will be seen when you have big farms where every tick something grows.
