Welcome, welcome!
On the odd chance you're here from the previous project, Understandable Have A Nice Day, thank you for sticking around!
Those were some good times. A lot of fun.
Maybe a bit too much fun, honestly. Kinda turned into a kitchen sink.
This time around the pack SHOULD boot with 2560MB ram allocation instead of, oh, 4000+.
Objective of the Player
What are you, the player, supposed to do in this pack?
- Have fun.
- Learn mods.
- Learn to combine mods to become ridiculously powerful.
- Complete quests and acquire cookies.
- Troll your friends by crafting and placing walruses on and in every machine.
- Die horribly to the Chaos Guardian.
- Crash the server by flying at speeds in excess of Mach 1 for extended periods of time instead of using a teleporter like a rational human being.
- Push the limits of what can be achieved with enough cobblestone and boredom.
Mod Overview
The mods added are intended to allow a vanilla-ish playthrough, but also allow much more depth and automation if so desired.
This is a play-at-your-own-pace pack. A questing system is included to give some objectives and hints at what can be done, but, the player must set some goals for themselves.
Start a farm with Pam's HarvestCraft, cook your produce with Cooking For Blockheads, and get buffs from Nutrition.
Acquire a full set of monster hunting trinkets from Cyclic, Random Things, Reliquary, and show the world who's boss.
Dig in to Ender IO, or Thermal Foundation, or Mekanism, or Actually Additions, or RFTools, or all of them, build reactors with NuclearCraft, and spend hours building dedicated machines to optimally process each and every last ore you mine.
The world is your oyster.
So prove it.
Differences with UHAND:
The pack is meant to be more focused this time around. Fewer mods, but better connection between them, achieved through both mod configuration and custom scripts.
Examples of some tweaks and alterations made:
NuclearCraft is a good mod. Tinker I/O is a good mod. NuclearCraft breaks the Solid Fuel recipe for Tinker I/O. So we have a custom recipe to fix that.
The default key configuration is very minimal, allowing the user to bind keys for mods they are currently using without having to track down a million conflicts.
There will also be custom recipes to craft some items that are otherwise unobtainable or almost unobtainable, such as the Water Walking Boots.
The Tool Levelling mod for Tinker's has been replaced with a custom recipe for crafting Creative Modifiers. This decreases mod count and also prevents a bug.
Certain very cold fluids from NuclearCraft have been added as coolant for both TF machines and EnderIO.
There are other unlisted tweaks, I'll put up a full documentation of all changes somewhere Eventually™
To summarize, the idea is fewer mods but more integration.
Mod Listing
Actually Additions, I will love you forever, even if you have an altar crafting mechanism.
Applied Energistics 2, AE2 Stuff, and Wireless Crafting Terminal, because I spent too much time figuring out my standard end-game storage system and I'm not giving it up for anything.
AmbientSounds 3, because I need that sweet underwater ambiance.
AntiGhost, don't know if I could take a pack seriously that doesn't have this in it frankly.
AppleSkin, okay, honest question time. Why isn't this vanilla? Saturation shouldn't be invisible.
Aroma1997s Dimensional World, because sometimes you just need a peaceful break. Except for that one time where I found a village that was filled with zombie villagers. No idea what happened there.
AttributeFix, again why isn't this vanilla? Some caps are just unnecessary.
Bad Wither No Cookie - Reloaded, so the continuous Wither farm doesn't ruin speakers.
Baubles, the core of any serious combat build.
Bedrock B Gone, because it works better than the other flat bedrock mod we used to use.
Better Builder's Wands, making large platforms or towers shouldn't take a hundred years.
BetterFps and FoamFix, because I'm an FPS addict. Only reason I didn't get that experimental 480hz monitor is its out of my budget.
Bonsai Trees 2, because it's very useful and simple early automation.
Botania, because Vazkii is an absolute legend, and wearing Chitoge's Ribbon makes me feel happy. Still cis tho.
Cooking for Blockheads, which goes hand-in-hand with Pam's, because food is fun and there's no better infinite water source in existence.
Cyclic, because it's just a weird but fun mod. And the Diamond Anvil is pretty nifty.
Default Options and Key Wizard, to reduce control clutter.
Ding and WaitingTime, because even 100 seconds is too long to wait.
Draconic Evolution and Draconic Additions, because I will never forgive the Chaos Guardian for what it did.
Ender IO and Endergy, because balance. And Ender IO has one of the best mod aesthetics I've ever seen. And because it lets you become Batman.
Ender Storage, because it's easier to dump into an ender chest than the wireless terminal for some reason.
Environmental Tech, because "balance".
Ex Nihilo and Ex Compressum, in case of Skyblock, and also because Compressed Creepers are hilarious.
ExtraCells2, because... I can't remember why but there's something specific that I added this mod for.
Fence Jumper, because my friend asked me to.
Flux Networks, because it's the best wireless power mod that I know of.
FTB Quests, because we have actual quests this time around. And more on the way.
Immersive Engineering, because engineering. And thermoelectric generators.
Industrial Foregoing, because Petrified Fuel Generator. And old memories of MFR.
Initial Inventory, to give you a book.
Inventory Tweaks, just another example of a mod that should be vanilla.
ItemZoom, also because my friend asked me to.
JEI, JEE, JEHC, JEII, JER, TJEI, because in-game documentation is best-game documentation.
Lava Waders Bauble, cuz there's only 8 bauble slots.
Light Level Overlay Reloaded, to prevent accidental mob spawns in your base cuz you didn't realize that the top of that machine was unlit.
Mekanism, because the noise the Metallurgic Infuser makes drives my friend insane. The oredictionary converter is also really nice.
ModTweaker, Ender Tweaker, CraftTweaker, all make this modpack possible.
Morpheus for the ZZZ's
Mouse Tweaks, aka "i know ive said this about 50 times in this description but seriously why is this mod not already vanilla"
Mystical Agriculture and Mystical Agradditions, aka "i hate mining but i love the Garden Cloche".
Natura, because the Nether just doesn't look right without Bloodwood trees every once in a while.
NoFov, because Fov changes are cool but also really disorienting.
Not Enough RTGs, for those who really, really, really need something to do with all that Californium-250 from their autobreeding reactor.
NuclearCraft, because it's not quite as broken as BigReactors.
OpenBlocks, because elevators and hang gliders. And really cool glasses.
Pam's HarvestCraft, because how else would we keep Steve full of nutrients?
Nutrition, because eating healthy is important.
Placement Preview, if you don't already see in your mind's eye how every block looks when placed.
PlayerRevive, because accidents happen.
QuantumStorage, because sometimes you just need to store a few million buckets of a fluid.
Random Things, because am I really in the nether if every other chest doesn't hold a Lava Charm?
RandomPatches and VanillaFix, because Minecraft is a special kind of trashfire of spaghetti under the surface.
Reliquary, because mob charms. also gun.
Remove Mouseover Highlight, because nothing ruins the experience of a stained glass window like a thin box around it.
RFTools, because Inventory Scanner. And timer. And remote tablet. And about a billion other things.
Sit, because sometimes you just need to have a sit.
NoMoreRecipeConflict, because I don't feel like disabling every last conflicting item recipe.
Tails and Immersive Floofs, because I'm marrying a furry and have to make some concessions.
The One Probe, because knowledge.
Thermal Foundation, Expansion, and Dynamics, because their metal ingots are pretty. And redstone furnace cooks real good.
Tinkers Construct and Tinker I/O, because the Smeltery is the best way of producing marshmallows. And solid fuel is great.
Tiny Progressions, because the vanilla game really needs a flint axe.
Toast Control, because breakfast will be ruined if you don't control your toast.
Torchmaster, because sometimes spamming torches everywhere makes your base look like eww.
Translocators, because 1 bucket or stack per tick is a wonderful thing.
Woot, because automated Chaos Guardian is nice.
xXx_MoreToolMats_xXx, because bullying is not nice.
YABBA, because deep storage in regular AE2 is expensive.
Credits
Credit to all my friends who encouraged me
Credit to MatrexsVigil and Rhodox for making Pam's HarvestCraft
Nutrition mod distributed directly in the pack in accordance with the licensing found here.
Server pack coming soon.
RAM
The pack should load successfully with 2560MB ram allocation. I would recommend 3584+ however, because otherwise the client tends to lag after a few hours.
The Chaos Guardian fight also becomes almost impossible with any less RAM. And anything more than a moderate base with basic machinery may cause issues.
