In a technological golden age, you and your crew get sent off to the moon to conduct a series of tests. Everything was going smoothly until your return, in which the Earth was engulfed in a strange purple light. It grew and violently exploded outwards, filling your ship with blinding purple. That was the last thing you could recall before waking up on a now unfamiliar Earth.
