The UMD GG Modpack is a performance-enhancing modpack for use by UMD Girls' Gaming, a division of the UMD Gaming organization at the University of Maryland, College Park.
The UMD GG Modpack is designed to provide member of UMD Girls' Gaming with a performant, vanilla-compatible experience. The modpack includes multiple performance-enhancing mods to reduce CPU and RAM usage, as well as a number of basic game improvement mods like Chat Heads, Mouse Tweaks, and LambDynamicLights. Altogether, this modpack should generally consume less than 3GB of RAM while on the UMD GG Minecraft server, with a recommended RAM allocation of 4GB.
The modpack also bundles optional texture packs (including Faithful 32x) and building-focused mods (WorldEdit and Litematica). It also provides easy access to proximity voice chat (via the Simple Voice Chat mod).
