What is Umbra Machina?
Guided Learning Focus. Quests are designed to teach the core mechanics of each mod without forcing players to grind through full end-game progression.

Beginner-Friendly Design. Clear explanations, structured quests, and logical pacing reduce confusion and help new players feel comfortable starting a large modpack.
Intuitive Kitchen-Sink Pack. A wide variety of mods are included, but organized in a way that feels cohesive rather than overwhelming.
Low-Pressure Progression. Players can explore and experiment freely, completing quests through understanding rather than optimization or min-maxing.
Shader-Pack Support. Certain Shader-Packs have been play-testing and are supported automatically within the pack. There's also a pre-made Resource Pack list.

Convenience First. Quality-of-life features and thoughtful mod integration streamline gameplay and minimize unnecessary friction.
Reducing being Overwhelmed. The pack is built specifically to avoid the “where do I start?” problem common in large modpacks, making learning enjoyable instead of daunting.
Deadly World. Umbra Machina buffs nearly every mod. It's meant to provide a difficult combat experience in the beginning to increase that adrenaline rush and reward for defeating enemies, while the trade-off is easier access to resources.

Complete every Quest, or brave none of them at all. Umbra Machina is designed to be limitless (excluding personalized Quest content). If you're new to mods, a veteran, or anywhere in-between, I'd love to hear your feedback in order to further improve player experience.
Note: This current iteration is the first of a many series of play-tests meant for myself and friends of mine. The pack is nowhere near finalized and all Quests, rewards, and balancing are subject to change- and WILL change.
Currently you'll experience Chapters 1-2 and gain access to your first series of special items, such as Legendary Weapons.
