Heya, it’s been a year since the last update!
This is the "smooth difficulty update."
I want to mention that my Stairs In The Woods mod has surpassed 59,000 downloads, which has reignited my motivation. I’m hoping to stick around longer this time, and to balance the easier difficulty, I added crawling spiders back.
The goal of this update is to make zombies and other challenges much less painfully hard on normal difficulty. It was so difficult that it wasn't always fun. This update should change that. If you prefer the harder difficulty, just switch to hard mode, heh.
Also, I’ve become a better game developer overall after a year of working on my Steam game, DR4X!
Changes:
-Updated all mods to latest supported versions
-Default FOV increased
-Zombies' senses debuffed
-Zombies and similar creatures no longer have additional sight range
-Underground monsters will now target you from half the previous distance
-It takes an in-game week for all zombie abilities to become active
-Zombies can no longer siege until a week later
-Charged creeper chance reduced from 0.25% to 0.02%
-Chance for monsters to spawn with bloodlust decreased from 10% to 2%
-Default body part health increased by 1 heart (Except feet)
-However, to offset the bonus health, it is now more realistically distributed. You can no longer break your head from drowning, but specific body parts are targeted. When falling, you will break your feet.
-Added back crawling spiders
-Added serene seasons mod
-Changed tree destruction mod (So immersive weathering could make leaf piles)
-You must crouch now to harvest a full tree at one time
-Leaves no longer collapse in the physicsy way other blocks do
-Zombied now take a second before digging anothe rblock
-Zombies now only light fires about every 15 seconds.
-You no longer get your entire starterkit back on death (Unless you loot your corpse), just a shell of it enough to journey back.
-You now start with 60 bullets not 45
-Changed shader to vanilla plus instead as it hitched quite a bit at start all the time
-Added load sof optimization mods and configured them
-Replaced first aid mod with my own first aid mod (Just fixes some major crashes).
-Removed modlist, but added many more mods
-Added new weapons/armor fit moreso for a modern setting
