*to server operators: you will need to manually place the Astikoor-1.0.0 JAR into your server mod directory, as for some reason twitch doesn't like uploading a server pack with that file in it.
This pack is intended to be an interesting mix of Vanilla+Magic, a beginner pack, and also a higher difficulty pack. All the while feeling like what some might want Minecraft 2 to feel like, and introducing experienced players to mods they might not have tried before!
For new players, here's a beginners guide
WORLD GEN:
The world's terrain is beautifully generated using OTG Biome Bundle, and then populated with an incredibly large, varied set of structures, dungeons, villages, and more. There's treasure to find, temples to raid, and sights to behold. Underground will feel new as well, featuring fancy new caves in patterns that stretch on endlessly thanks to Worley's caves, and also miniature cave biomes thanks to Quark (like crystal caves, ice caves, and mushroom caves). Trees are growing, living things thanks to Dynamic Trees, and the icing on top is how alive the world feels with Dynamic Surroundings.
MAGIC:
While exploring, you'll come across Electroblob's Wizardy towers, where you can find wizards to trade with, allowing you to buy spellbooks and wands. Or you might find Astral sorcery structures, featuring chests, loot, and items required to progress through Astral Sorcery. You will also spawn with a book teaching you the ways of Crossroads MC, which will require you to go out to find copper and tin.
TECHNOLOGY:
Technology has been left simple in this pack, trying to keep it as close to vanilla as possible. BetterWithMods will provide you with a way to double your ore outputs, and provide a source of mechanical power via windmills and waterwheels. Crossroads MC, while a magic mod, will also allow you to engineer ridiculous contraptions, like the redstone monstrosities of old minecraft. Minecarts have been upgraded, with new rails and carts. Redstone has been given more features as well thanks to Redstone++.
VILLAGES:
Along the way you'll find two types of villages; Vanilla, regular villages, and Millenaire villages.
The vanilla villages have been upgraded, featuring more buildings, more village types, and more villagers. While the Millenaire villages are completely different, providing you with quests and tasks to complete as you befriend the people of that culture.
DIMENSIONS:
The End and The Nether havent been left out, featuring face lifts from NetherEX, EndReborn, and Stygian End. Two more dimensions were added as well, Twilight Forest and The Betweenlands, featuring a full set of tasks and structures to explore and complete.
DIFFICULTY:
This pack tries to make the early game a bit more interesting, with wooden tools being essentially useless, and stone tools being much weaker. It adds in clay versions of things to change up the starting process. Players are unable to set their bed spawn, and when they die, they respawn at a random point within 2,000 blocks of the world spawn. Structures nearer the world spawn are also mostly pre-looted, so players must explore farther to find anything worthwhile. Diamonds cannot be used by themselves, and must be combined with creeper oysters to create diamond ingots.
QUALITY OF LIFE:
This pack also features a variety of quality of life mods, intended to fix some of minecrafts little annoyances, or to enhance otherwise dull features. Refer to the full mod list below to see it all.
