On this pack the life isn't much simple, here is some informations!
mobs can dig , see the lights, hear the sounds (and find you by it), can build... and other things :D
wooden tools can't be crafted, use flint tools instead!
you can't harvest logs! take sticks from leaves! (4 sticks -> 1 slab 2 slabs -> 1 plank)
iron is too boring for you? you can craft a clay bucket for take water with you!
WARNING! after 1 night/day raiders come out! and try to kill you and break your things! (chest, furnaces, etc)
can't find ores? craft a finder to find them! (valid for metals and minerals)
make sure you place torch... <10 light level= mobs! and... torchs burn out after some time!
mobs can't go through bedrock,
