The TRR modpack isn't short for something. The main purpose of this modpack is servers where you need to work together to get draconic items (they are quite difficult to obtain) and just adventure for things like bees who you can make automatic. And with Pam's Harvestcraft (A foodmod) you are challenged to get different kinds of food.
Also Bilbiocraft and Chisel&Bits are present for different kinds of decoration later in the game. A way you can see how to make things (JEI) is also added so no worries about the recipes.
