Trashlands 0.13.0
What's new
Thirteen mods in, a vein-miner that refuses to touch the garbage, and the pack can finally ship data of its own.
Added
- FTB Ultimine, with the salvage economy walled off. Hold a key and break a whole vein - but not a Block of Garbage, not a trash bag, not rubble, tailings, a waste drum, slag, a tire, or the ground any of it sits on. The junkyard is dug by hand, and so is the rock under it: deepslate and the Compacted Depths' bulk are both excluded too, because an infinite quarry two blocks under the plain is the same problem wearing a different hat. What is left is the world you build - trees off the reclamation ladder, crops, farmland, and anything you placed yourself.
- KubeJS. Not for you, exactly: it is what lets the pack ship data of its own for the first time on this Minecraft version, which is how the Ultimine exclusions get to you at all. Pinned next to a standalone Better Advanced Tooltips build, which is the specific thing that stops it crashing on load.
- Lootr. Loot containers are per-player now. The sewer crate, the aquarium, the demolition yard - one-shot finds that used to go to whoever walked in first, which on a server meant nobody else ever saw them.
- WITS. Tells you which structure you are standing in. There are landmarks out there now and the pack had no way to name them.
- FramedBlocks. Camo blocks. Late, since the recipe wants planks and this world has no wood until the Tree Nursery, but it is a finishing tool for a pack built out of scrap.
- Flatts's Things. Player-only pressure plates, tool slots with auto-swap, a woodcutter, cauldron transforms, armoured elytra, and a few other small things vanilla never shipped.
- Default Options, spark, Crash Assistant, Crash Utilities, Better Compatibility Checker. Plumbing
- a profiler, two crash readers, and a warning when you join a server on the wrong pack version.
Changed
- Recompile 0.20.0. The dump stopped teaching you. Tearing something apart no longer gives you recipes; it gives you the working part that made the object what it was - a motor out of a washing machine, a solar panel out of a dead Hauler, a cage out of a broken spawner. Nothing in this world manufactures a motor, so it is salvage or nothing. Knowledge is bought instead, from a Buy Terminal repaired out of a Broken Terminal you found, and a Freight Terminal takes eight delivery quotas that are the only thing moving your tier. The quest book has not caught up with this yet and still mentions Idea Fragments in a few places - ignore those lines.
- Routine bumps: JEI, Ender IO, Sophisticated Core and Sophisticated Backpacks. The NeoForge pin stayed at 26.1.2.100.
- Extreme Sound Muffler stayed at 3.58.1. The newest file is still a 4.x alpha.
