Description
TOCAOL 3.0: The Frozen Apocalypse
Version 1.20.1
The world has already ended. TOCAOL 3.0 places you in the middle of a frozen, inhospitable wasteland where the environment is just as lethal as the undead. The temperature alone will kill you if you are not prepared, and the zombie hordes do not wait for the sun to go down. They spawn in the daylight, they can run, and they will swarm you if you stay exposed in the snow. You will begin by scavenging through ruined towns, abandoned towers, and forgotten underground bunkers, scraping together whatever camouflage and firearms you can find to survive your first few desperate days.
Unlike most zombie apocalypse modpacks that trap you in an endless cycle of decay, this pack offers a definitive path forward through deep technological progression. Your first major goal is to secure a permanent foothold. The towering, sheer cliffs generated by Tectonic and Terralith provide the perfect natural defenses. By carving into the mountainsides, you can establish a secure bunker, utilizing mechanical engineering to construct massive, impenetrable blast doors. From there, FTB Quests will help guide you through a massive technological awakening. You will evolve from shivering in a makeshift shelter to mastering heavy industry, digitizing your storage, and eventually generating massive amounts of power through advanced nuclear reactors.
As your industry grows, so does your dominion over the frozen earth. You will eventually transition from scavenging on foot to constructing automated networks, crafting high-tier gear, and building helicopters to traverse the massive, sweeping landscapes rendered by Distant Horizons. For those with the resources and the curiosity, you can even construct secure underground laboratories to extract DNA from ancient fossils, reviving long-lost dinosaurs to roam inside your reinforced compounds.
But the ultimate goal of TOCAOL 3.0 is not just to survive the winter—it is to escape it entirely. Using advanced aerospace engineering, you are tasked with constructing a fully functional, custom-built spacecraft to leave the dead earth behind. You will manually pilot your vessel through the solar system, utilizing warp technology to explore the stars. If your navigation is true and your tech is advanced enough, you might just find a rumored sanctuary—a distant, pristine anomaly of a planet completely untouched by the undead, where the frost has melted, the sun is warm, and a peaceful life can finally begin.
