Description
The Villages is a persistent multiplayer world where every player is free to pursue their own ambitions, but every action leaves a mark.
There is no final objective and no predefined path to victory. Players decide for themselves what they want to achieve: build a settlement, establish a business, explore distant lands, create an industry, command an army, protect a community, wage war, trade with others, live as a nomad, or simply leave something behind.
The world remembers those choices.
Cities may rise and disappear. Roads built for forgotten settlements may still be used generations later. Fortresses may become ruins. Wars can permanently reshape territories. Industries can transform landscapes, while abandoned buildings and foundations remain as evidence of the people who once lived there.
New players do not enter an untouched world. They inherit the consequences, infrastructure, ruins, borders, opportunities, and mistakes left by those who came before them.
In The Villages, progress is not measured by reaching an ending.
It is measured by the impact you leave on the world.
