The following recording was recovered from a damaged VHS tape found near an abandoned server. The footage shows a player spawning on a single block in the void. The tape is grainy. Distorted. Something keeps moving in the background.

This modpack recreates that experience...

The Skinwalkers, Starved Stalker, and Things That Stalk don’t behave like normal mobs. They appear in frames where they shouldn’t be. Sometimes they stand still. Sometimes they copy your movements. Sometimes they vanish between frames.

Every block break causes the tape to distort.
Loot, traps, anomalies — the footage becomes unstable whenever the block changes.

The player tries to build defenses:
cameras, reinforced doors, tripwires, mines.
The tape shows these systems failing one by one.

When the player dies, the body stays in frame.
Sometimes it moves.
Sometimes it doesn’t.

Small signs of life appear on the tape — plants growing in pots, structures forming.
But the footage flickers whenever something grows too fast.

The player carries chests, mobs, and blocks across makeshift bridges into the void.
The tape glitches heavily during these segments.
Something follows them across the bridge.
