This modpack includes features I frequently use to create maps for me and my friend to play on. You can use World Edit and Realistic Terrain generator to help create a nicely generated world, and then fill it with NPCs using Custom NPCs. There are also mods that add item editing, more redstone, more weapons, and seasons. Feel free to check out the mod list for more details.
