Description
The Old World Isn't Empty — that's just what I'm calling it, anyway. I don't really know what else to call it.
It looks like Minecraft used to look. The old Stuff, You know the old stuff, green grass, etc A modpack built to feel like the version of the game we grew up with, before everything got too bright and too safe.
It's not just that, though.
The mobs don't act right. Not "buggy" wrong — wrong, wrong. Something will follow you for three days before you ever see it clearly. Sound doesn't behave the way it should either; you'll hear footsteps from a direction nothing's standing in, and they don't stop when you do.
I keep playing it anyway. I tell myself it's for the videos. Abandoned villages that weren't on the seed map the last time I checked it. Structures that show up in screenshots but aren't there when I go back. A noise at the edge of render distance that I've started writing down the timestamps of, because I don't think it's random anymore.
I don't think the pack brought back an old version of the game. I think it brought back something that was already in it.
The old world is back.
I don't think it came back alone.
