The Oats 4 is a collection of mods picked by my friends and I so that we, and you, can have an enjoyable modded experience.
From The Aether to Mystical Agriculture, the pack offers a variety of mods that can be progressed on their own or while progressing through others. Having the modpack in a kitchen sink style allows you to do whatever you feel like without being stopped by a crafting recipe for a mod that requires you to progress through three other mods.
There is no ultimate end goal, objective, or quest line. If you'd like, FTB Quests and relating resources have been added to create your own quests and rewards. I feel that quests essentially tell the player what to do, which can be good for many modpacks, but they don't fit for kitchen sink packs.
If you'd like to make a server, simply create a Forge server with the version forge-14.23.5.2838 and copy all of the mods from the client download into the mods folder for the server, removing any client-side only mods. If you are unsure, the server upon launch will generate a crash log after a minute or two with which mods are unsupported on servers.
