IMPORTANT: POSSIBLE ISSUES & QUICK FIXES

Having a problem with the modpack? Before reinstalling the pack or changing any files, check the fixes below. Some of the custom systems, menus, and map mechanics may occasionally require a quick reset depending on how Minecraft loads the modpack.

Most of these issues can be resolved without reinstalling anything.

IF CUSTOM MENU IS BUGGED OR NOT DISPLAYING CORRECTLY

If the main menu, buttons, background, UI elements, or other custom menu features aren't displaying correctly, you can usually fix the issue by refreshing the Fancy Menu customization.

STEP 1 — OPEN THE FANCY MENU EDITOR

Press:

CTRL + ALT + C

If that key combination does not work on your keyboard, try:

CTRL + WINDOWS + ALT + C

This should open the Fancy Menu Editor.

STEP 2 — DISABLE CUSTOMIZATION

Once the Fancy Menu Editor opens, look at the top of the editor.

Find the Customization option and disable it.

STEP 3 — RE-ENABLE CUSTOMIZATION

After disabling it, enable the customization again.

This forces Fancy Menu to reload the custom menu configuration.

STEP 4 — SAVE AND RESTART IF NEEDED

If the menu is still displaying incorrectly:

1. Save the changes.
2. Save and quit your current world.
3. Return to the Minecraft main menu.
4. Load back into your world.
5. If the issue continues, completely close Minecraft.
6. Launch the modpack again.

You may need to restart Minecraft for the changes to fully take effect.

SPAWNED IN A DARK ROOM INSTEAD OF THE GLADE ELEVATOR?

The Maze Runner map is intended to start you inside the Glade elevator.

However, depending on how the map loads, you may occasionally spawn in a dark elevator/room instead.

If this happens, don't panic. The map itself may still be working correctly.

FIRST: MAKE SURE CHEATS ARE ENABLED

This modpack uses certain commands and mechanics that require cheats to be enabled.

For the best experience, always play with cheats enabled.

This is especially important because some of the Maze's functions, including the doors closing at night, rely on commands functioning correctly.

If cheats are disabled, certain map mechanics may not work as intended.

IF YOU SPAWN IN THE DARK ELEVATOR

First, enable cheats.

Then try following the map's included instructions to navigate out of the area and reach the intended starting location.

If you would rather skip the problem entirely, you can use the following command in chat:

/tp 0 100 0

This should teleport you back toward the intended spawn area.

Once you're back at the correct location, you can continue the experience normally.

IMPORTANT: ALWAYS PLAY WITH CHEATS ENABLED

For this particular map and modpack, playing with cheats enabled is recommended and may be necessary for certain map functions to work correctly.

This does not mean you are expected to use commands to cheat your way through the Maze.

The commands are primarily there to allow the custom map mechanics to function properly and provide an emergency way to recover if something goes wrong.

For the intended experience:

Keep cheats enabled.

Avoid using commands unless you are troubleshooting a problem or have a legitimate reason to do so.

THE MAZE DOORS AREN'T CLOSING

If the Maze doors aren't closing when night arrives, the first thing to check is whether cheats are enabled.

The door system relies on commands, meaning the map may not be able to execute its intended functions if commands are disabled.

Make sure:

• Cheats are enabled.
• You are playing the correct map.
• You haven't removed required mods.
• You haven't changed the map's command systems.
• You're using the intended modpack version.

If everything is correct and the doors still aren't functioning, try saving and quitting the world, then loading back in.

USING ESSENTIALS

The Essential mod can be used for multiplayer and playing with friends.

If you're using Essential to host or play the modpack with other players, make sure everyone is using the same version of the modpack.

If someone experiences unusual behavior, spawning problems, missing content, or broken map mechanics, verify that all players are using the same pack and that the host has cheats enabled.

IF SOMETHING STILL ISN'T WORKING

Don't immediately delete your world or reinstall the entire modpack.

First try:

1. Save and quit.
2. Restart Minecraft.
3. Load the world again.
4. Verify cheats are enabled.
5. Make sure you haven't removed or disabled any mods.
6. Make sure everyone is using the same modpack version if playing multiplayer.

If the issue continues, report it with as much information as possible.

Please include:

• Minecraft version
• Modpack version
• Launcher being used
• Singleplayer or multiplayer
• Whether Essential is being used
• What happened
• What you expected to happen
• Screenshots or video if possible
• Crash report or latest.log if applicable

The more information provided, the easier it is to identify the problem and determine whether it is a map issue, mod issue, configuration issue, or Minecraft itself.

QUICK FIX REFERENCE

CUSTOM MENU BUGGED?

CTRL + ALT + C

or

CTRL + WINDOWS + ALT + C

Open Fancy Menu Editor → Disable Customization → Re-enable Customization → Save → Restart if necessary.

SPAWNED IN A DARK ROOM?

Enable cheats and follow the map instructions.

If necessary, use:

/tp 0 100 0

DOORS NOT CLOSING?

Make sure cheats are enabled.

The door mechanics require commands to function correctly.

GENERAL PROBLEMS?

Save and quit → Restart Minecraft → Make sure cheats are enabled → Try again.

These fixes should resolve most of the common problems you may encounter while playing.

The modpack has been extensively configured and tested, but Minecraft modpacks and custom maps can occasionally behave differently depending on the launcher, multiplayer setup, world loading, or individual system.
