This is not the Minecraft you know. This modpack completely overhauls the game into a deeply atmospheric, psychologically demanding survival horror experience. Designed for maximum immersion and unforgiving difficulty, every mechanic has been re-engineered to make you feel vulnerable, isolated, and constantly hunted.
Can you survive the dark, or will you become just another shadow in the woods?
🛑 IMPORTANT: CRUCIAL FIRST-TIME SETUP 🛑
To experience the pack exactly as intended, you must manually activate the realistic health features upon loading into your world.
- Launch your world (Singleplayer or Server).
- Open your in-game chat box (Default key: T).
- Type exactly:
/doom - Press Enter.
Failure to run this command will leave the default Minecraft health mechanics active, completely breaking the intended hardcore experience!
🩸 REALISTIC HEALTH & INJURY SYSTEM (DOOMED: UNKNOWN CASUALTY)
Once activated via the
/doom command, survival requires extreme medical precision. Your default Minecraft health bar vanishes entirely, replaced by an intricate, punishing, limb-based survival simulation:- Limb-Specific Vulnerability: Your head, torso, arms, and legs all process damage separately. A single fatal blow to your head or torso results in instant death.
- Severe Physical Debuffs: Crippled legs reduce your movement to a slow crawl. Severe fractures or dislocations to your arms reduce your mining speed and weapon attack velocity drastically.
- Complex Body & Liquid Simulation: Watch your status indicators closely. You must actively manage trauma, physical pain, and systemic infections caused by environmental damage.
- Advanced Medical Treatment: Traditional food items will no longer magically heal your wounds. You must manually open your medical interface and apply specific medical items like bandages, tourniquets, and splints to stop bleeding and reset broken bones.
🩹 QUICK MEDICAL CRAFTING GUIDE
Do not get caught bleeding out in the dark without supplies. Keep these two simple crafting recipes memorized for emergency first-aid:
- Bandage (Option 1): Place 2x Leather together in your crafting grid.
- Bandage (Option 2): Place 2x Paper together in your crafting grid.
Keep these in your hotbar at all times. Applying a bandage quickly is the only way to stop hemorrhage and patch up a bleeding limb before it's too late.
🖤 THE DEPRESSION MECHANIC
Your mental state is just as fragile as your physical body. Surviving in this dark world takes a heavy toll on your character's mind, introducing a complex mental health system:
- Mental Degradation: Spending too much time isolated in pitch-black darkness, suffering from untreated physical trauma, or experiencing constant setbacks will trigger a deep state of depression.
- Debilitating Symptoms: As depression sets in, your character will experience physical lethargy, slower movement speeds, reduced efficiency, and desaturated, grayed-out vision.
- Combating the Dark: You must actively manage your mental health by seeking out bright light sources, eating comfort foods, staying warm, and finding safe havens to lift the mental fog.

- Dynamic, Terrifying Weather: Fog rolls in heavily, blinding your vision, while violent storms and unpredictable weather anomalies force you to seek shelter.
- Hyper-Realistic Audio: A dynamic sound physics engine ensures that echoes ring out in caves, footsteps muffle behind walls, and distant shrieks track accurately to their terrifying sources.
