The Darklands, a purgatory for lost souls. All try to escape, few manage. But for each who do escape, they doom those who are left behind. Each time someone escapes, the world shifts, reshaping itself, making it harder for those still there to escape. Zombies, dragons, creatures of myth and legend, those forgotten and unwanted, all find their way to the Darklands. The reasons that people wind up in the Darklands varies. Some are cast out by their gods, others are exiled by their own kin, and some choose it voluntarily. No one knows the name of the singular god that watches over those who live in the Darklands, only that they wish for redemption for all who have wound up in this forgotten land.

Loot dungeons, kill bosses, Find all 11 eyes to enter the end portal and fight that pesky dragon. Build your kingdom from the ground up or join an established one! go on epic quests to gain unique items and titles. Anything is possible in the Darklands, but death is most certain.

OPTIFINE IS HIGHLY RECOMENDED NOT ONLY FOR PERFORMANCE BUT FOR DYNAMIC LIGHTING.

This modpack is not meant to be easy, however it is not as hard as others. with over 100 mods there are plenty of fun mods to tinker, craft, and build with. Here are some of the main features and information about the modpack in general:

Important gameplay tweaks to note:

Origins: Choose an origin at the start of the game. Each origin has unique abilities and debuffs that can in some cases drastically change the way you play the game. but don't worry you can choose human to have a vanilla experience... for the most part.

Enigmatic Legacy: Many unique baubles/artifacts that can enhance the game and give you special abilities. you will start the game with a ring of seven curses, DO NOT PUT THIS ON UNLESS YOU WANT A CHALLENGE! It will give you seven curses as well as seven blessings. it cannot be removed easily.

Lootr: Most Chests and Barrels found in dungeons are now instanced for each player. this means the items within will be unique to you and all other players will be able to gain loot from the same Chest/Barrel.

Minemenu: The ability to assign commands/quick chat to a radial wheel while holding the R key

End Remastered: Collect all 11 unique Eyes to open up the end portal. each eye is found in different structures or is/crafted by a mob drop.

World generation and Dungeons:

We use a couple of different mods for biome generation, such as Better Default Biomes and Oh The Biomes You'll Go.

While there may be several structures out in the world for you to discover, claim the loot for your self with Lootr and maybe even settle in, far grander challenges await you.

Custom made dungeons, trials and fights exist in a whole seperate world. Hack and slash your way through hordes of enemies, solve puzzles and engage in buffed up and customised fights to learn more about the Darklands, and of course: Obtain stacks of rewards!

Armor, Tools, and everything in between

Within this modpack you will find any and every tool you could ever need. Whether it be an artifact to protect you from fire damage, or a godlike set of armor.

Using the Tetra mod, you will be able to modify most weapons and tools to be more efficient, have higher damage, and all sorts of other perks. Provided you have the necessary requirements. This includes vanilla gear, Spartans weaponry, Botania, Ice and Fire, and more.

Of course there is also Tinkers Construct, along with several addons for it, allowing you to create, customise and forge your perfect weapon!

The Ice and Fire mod provides arguably some of the best armor and weapons. The Dragon Steel sets. These are a bit harder to obtain simply because it requires you to have a tamed dragon use its elemental breath on the corresponding elements Dragon Forge. The three elements for dragons are Fire, Ice, and Lighting.

Magic and Enchanting:

What kind of fantasy modpack would this be if we didn't have any magic mods?

With Mana and Artifice you can craft and cast powerful spells, perform Rituals for powerful effects and to create portals or even change the weather and time. With the Manaweaving mechanic you can draw shapes in the air to add to rituals and spells. Within the mod you can also join one of three factions to get powerful benefits and drawbacks. with a very clear progression guide it is easy to get started and and find the perfect spell or ritual you need.

Astral Sorcery turns your gaze towards the night sky, drawing your magical potential from the stars and the shapes they make in the sky, fueling whichever path of starry magic you choose to embark upon.

Of course, you can always look down, notice the power in the very nature you walk amongst, draw upon the magic of flowers with Botania. Automate your mana production, forge self-repairing blades, fight the Gaia Guardian, lift the very ground up from beneath your feet. And finally, visit the world of the elves you've been trading with for so long with Mythic Botany. Take your flower power to the next level and craft artifacts of the gods!

Enchanting is done the same way you would in Vanilla Minecraft, but there also other ways to enchant through other mods like mana and artifice and a couple of other mods. With Ensorcellation you will find all kinds of new and interesting enchantments. Of course a lot of the other mods in the pack add new enchants as well. For example, the Origins mod adds water protection for any origin that is hurt by water.

Storage, Automation, and Building:

Storage in your bases can get cluttered and unorganized very quickly if you arent careful. Which is why i wanted to ensure we would have everything we need to stay organized. With Storage drawers, Iron chests and Tom's Simple storage you will be able to keep everything organized without having to build a giant chest room. Tom's is a mod similar to AE2, but without all the tech. it relies on the magical properties of ender pearls to easily transfer the items you need from any of your connected inventories into your own at the click of a button. with a search bar and a crafting grid option it is the most efficient and organized you will ever be (unless you're in a tech modpack :P). We also have Traveler's Backpack for extra storage on the go!

Automation is a must when it comes to a big modpack such as this. there are plenty of tools at your disposal to get this done. With Create, Tinkers Construct, Botania and more you will be able to automate just about anything if you have the know how.

When it comes to Decorating your base you'll want the best of the best. With Chisel, Structurize, Adorn and a few other mods you'll be able to craft everything you need to make your base fit any style you desire.

Farming and Food:

Farming is one of the most important aspects in any modpack. Everybody needs food. The question is do we need this much? With over 50 options for food and drinks you will never run out of new things to try. Farmer's Delight comes in to provide many new options for you to consume. Which is very important since we have Spice of Life: Potato AND Carrot Edition, giving you buffs for having a mixed diet, rather than eating the same thing over and over. Of course we have gotten all of the compatibility mods need too. and just to speed things up for you we have also included Harvest. This mod allows you to simply right click on a fully grown crop to collect it and automatically replant.

Mobs and Bosses:

With Ice and Fire, Mowzie's Mobs,and Botania, there is no shortage of creatures and beasts to plunge your sword into.

Ice and Fire adds in dragons, serpents, gorgons and so many other mythical creatures that you can fight, tame and enslave.

We also have Progressive Bosses which makes the wither and ender dragon harder every time you fight them.

Our goal with this server is to have actual kingdoms, with lore, culture, wars, alliances, trade, etc. It will be slightly RP based but its not going to be forced. My hope is for us to build a world, not just play in one.
