Intended to have a bit more longevity, The Dark moves you through the classic steps of a tech/magic mod a bit slower.
Start off with the standard Minecraft experience; half-naked and punching trees. But quick as you can, start up a shelter and turn out those torches. When night sets in, it really sets in. Zombie awareness will ensure that hoards of zombies will hunt you down, and a pitch black night will demand a shelter as running becomes less and less of an option in the dark.
Push through to later portions of the pack and place that terra steel armor to good use while you explore The Twilight Forest, back in all its glory.
Set your windmills high as an alternative to fossil fuels. Immersive Engineering machines will pay dividends when processing your Ores.
