The Convex is a Minecraft 1.7.10 modpack that is designed to be challenging for experienced mod-players. It is also made so that every mod has a purpose in advancing to the late game. Resources are much harder to come by, and early game progression is much slower.

Here are some specific changes:

Vanilla tools have been disabled (craftable, but unusable) to force the player to use Tinkers' Construct tools or energy-powered tools.
Ways to acquire iron have been reduced, with highly creative solutions taking precedence over simple, standard solutions.
All ore generation has been reduced, making mods such as AgriCraft and Forestry which allow for the creation of raw resources more viable.
