There are a number of ways you can play this, it is designed so that if you really wanted to, you could entirely avoid using any of the non-vanilla features, or you could play it like a vanilla+ pack, or go all in with the mods. It should be a great stepping off point for someone who is new to the modding scene.
Build a massive factory using the Create mod! Automate to your hearts content with it's gears and cogs, learn the beauty of rotational power, and figure out how to make the most efficient farms possible! Make a crop field as far as the eye can see with Farmer's Delight! Make a kitchen to cook meals to feed your friends! Go on massive adventures in the Twilight Forest, never fearing a lack of storage because of Sophisticated Backpacks! Make your home's storage more advanced with the extra storage given by Sophisticated Storage and Storage Drawers. Best of all, you can play with your friend using the Essential mod, and not have to worry about dividing up the loot because of the instance based loot in Lootr! Make massive builds with the many and plenty building mods in this pack, and make any shape you want with the Framed Blocks and Copycats. Make shops easy using Simple Shops, and bully your friends with the firepower of Nock Enough Arrows! Enjoy the powers you get with the Origins mod! The world is yours, and you can treat it like that!
