The Broken Crown

A medieval fantasy RPG modpack for Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge), built around Ice and Fire: Community Edition. Three hundred years ago the Ember Crown that leashed the dragons was shattered. Six realms want it whole again, and you are the courier who walked into the middle of it.

The story

• 8 story chapters. Gather five crown shards across six realms and reforge the crown. You can also choose not to.
• 6 endings. Each one has a lasting perk and a lasting cost.
• 262 quests in 24 chapters. Besides the story there are realm arcs, a bestiary, bounties, smithing, family life, knightly orders, the thieves' guild, warhorses and founding your own kingdom.

The world

• Six realms that remember you. Reputation runs from Hated to Exalted, and it decides prices, guards and who will talk to you.
• Living capitals and holdfasts. Each has its own court, guards, market days, curfews, taverns, a stablemaster and a crier.
• Villagers with lives (MCA). Befriend them, marry, and raise a family. Every villager belongs to a realm.
• Crime and justice. Fines, the stocks, wanted posters and bounty hunters. Wear the Outlaw's Hood and nobody knows your face.
• Found your own kingdom. Taxes, revolts, royal edicts, sieges, retinues and heraldry on your sails.

New ways to play

• The Hollow Hand thieves' guild. Pick pockets, sell to the fences in every tavern, and pull off the Gilded Vault heist. Win the Nightveil hood and Whisper, the Nightmaster's dagger.
• Warhorses. Tame one, or buy a palfrey, courser or destrier. It levels to 10 and learns the whistle, the kick, sure feet, the charge and the last stand. If it dies, it's gone.
• Twelve skill trees (press K). Warrior, Ranger, Survivor, Sovereign, Dragonrider, Rogue, Homesteader, Arcanist, Commander, Artisan, Mariner and Beastmaster.
• Knightly orders, the fighting pit at Irondeep, realm schools of magic, tournaments, festivals and omens.
• Forged gear with rarity and qualities. Every weapon and armour piece you forge rolls its own rarity and qualities, from Common to Mythic.
