Ten years ago, the Emperor and any possible heirs of his were killed at the hands of rebels, dissatisfied with his handling of the Plague. Unfortunately for them, this caused the Empire to collapse, and many military regiments began forming small forts and townships, becoming local warlords.
Today, most of these factions have died out, leaving small villages all across the world that most lack the enthusiasm or legitimacy needed to return to the olden days. The world is ridden with crypts, burial grounds, and mass graves from the initial outbreak, spewing out undead each day. Dragons and other, possibly even more dangerous entities, now without an Imperial Army to deter them, have begun to stir from their centuries of hibernation, razing villages to the ground. But the Age of Ice, that of the old clinging so desperately onto their power, is coming to an end, and it is giving way to an Age of Thawing Ice, one where many will attempt to forge new authorities and futures out of this nightmare, finally putting an end to the Empire's legacy and letting go of it. Only one question remains: what will you do with this opportunity?
This modpack was originally intended to be something entirely different, hence the pretty much unrelated mods of Lost Cities and Security Craft, but I have a couple worlds in this pack dependent on them so I elected not to remove them, plus they could be an interesting option for some to have.
This pack is intended for at least moderate roleplay, and includes mild survival elements like Tough as Nails and Serene Seasons, combat changes in Enchantable, Sword Blocking, and the Spartan Weaponry/Shields combo, as well as MCA for a relatively simple and easy to interact with village management framework.
